In retaliation, The National Defense Education Act of 1958 made funding available to nurture and support gifted talents.<br>*During this time of crisis, gifted individuals were seen as a valuable resource and support was given from all levels to provide challenging educational opportunities.</div>]]></description>

His creation: The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) are the most widely used tests of creative talent.<br>*His research found that creative thinking abilities differed from abilities involved in intelligence and logical reasoning. Intelligence tests misses about 70% of those who are creatively gifted.</div>]]></description>
