As lockdown orders have expired, workers have returned to jobs that demand a physical presence, such as those in stores, factories, meatpacking plants, agricultural fields, offices, restaurants, amusement parks, and so forth. Protecting health-vulnerable employees in these settings requires cooperation between the public and private sectors, as demonstrated by the outbreak in Europe’s largest meatpacking plant in Gütersloh, Germany. The failures of the private sector to protect workers and the missteps of the public sector to enforce worker safety boomeranged back to the general public, which was forced to live under a soft local lockdown after the outbreak.

by Bellamy Foong 1DBM2107002

Governments need to face up to wages and prices Prices in the country are too high for people's wages to cover the cost of living. People have to feed their children, pay for their homes, have mortgages, have cars and so on. On the one hand, the fall of the national currency and the exchange rate caused inflation to rise.If it goes on, people's lives will get worse and worse. Yee Jo Yi 1DBM2108014

The term may apply to government, public sector organizations, groups, and individuals. Presidential executive orders, corporate privacy policies, and parliamentary rules of order are all examples of policy. Policy differs from rules or law. Rules and regulations are often instrumental in shaping the world but are vague and incomplete. They are context-dependent and often conflict with one another. For example, while the speed limit on a particular road is a rule, it is frequently ignored.
Conversely, the Fourth Amendment protects people against unreasonable search and seizure, but it has been repeatedly violated in the United States. Policy, on the other hand, is often transparent, comprehensive, and context-independent. For example, a privacy policy is a concise document to inform consumers about how a business collects, uses, and shares its information.

thong chi wei
1dbm210006

For this reason, the citizens don't have any income and they have no money for buying foods for them, and even for their family members. In this case, government should stand out and get in touch with those people who can't afford for food, instead of focus on playing political issues. There is a fact, which during the pandemic, the citizens are the one who are helping the peoples who have no food, but not the government, which are taxing the citizens every year.

- Inflation is actually a normal economic phenomenon. Inflation is a problem in most countries around the world. Inflation is worse in places or countries where the economy is growing faster.

-In the last few years, Malaysia's inflation rate has been 2.2%, which is low and even about the same as the US rate. We can say that the economy as a whole has done a good job of keeping inflation in check.

- "Hyperinflation," or an annual inflation rate of more than 10%, is something that needs to be watched out for because it has a big effect on people's basic way of life.

-On the other hand, "deflation," which means there is no inflation, can kill an economy. When most people think prices will stay the same or go down, they will be much less likely to buy things.

Darshiniy (1DBM2108006)

Fiscal policy is the use of government spending and taxation to influence the economy. Governments typically use fiscal policy to promote strong and sustainable growth and reduce poverty. The role and objectives of fiscal policy gained prominence during the recent global economic crisis, when governments stepped in to support financial systems, jump-start growth, and mitigate the impact of the crisis on vulnerable groups. In the communiqué following their London summit in April 2009, leaders of the Group of 20 industrial and emerging market countries stated that they were undertaking “unprecedented and concerted fiscal expansion.” What did they mean by fiscal expansion? And, more generally, how can fiscal tools provide a boost to the world economy?

Historically, the prominence of fiscal policy as a policy tool has waxed and waned. Before 1930, an approach of limited government, or laissez-faire, prevailed. With the stock market crash and the Great Depression, policymakers pushed for governments to play a more proactive role in the economy. More recently, countries had scaled back the size and function of government—with markets taking on an enhanced role in the allocation of goods and services—but when the global financial crisis threatened worldwide recession, many countries returned to a more active fiscal policy.
