It can be used to treat depression and repeated bouts of unhappiness via mindfulness a based cognitive therapy. <br><a href="http://mbct.com">http://mbct.com</a><br>Earlist records of meditation can be found in the Vedas, the oldest texts of Hinduism, dating from 1700-1100 BCE.
