It took me a while to get the proportions right because I was a little confused with the ruler and messed up my measurements, but with a little help, I overcame the confusion with my measurements. The shading was a little difficult for me because the picture doesn’t show many accurate shadings and I’m not good at judging where the lights and darks are myself. It was kind of difficult to develop a range of values bc the ink is very dark and it does not have the range of shades pencils have, but it was still fun. In the piece I chose, the man doesn’t wear anything special, in fact, he looks quite ordinary.
