The book I am reading is called "One for the Murphys." It is about a young girl who is placed in the foster care system and must decide between her new foster family and her biological mother. She is growing in relationship with the Murphy family and growing to love them, but feels conflicted because she also misses her biological mom. It is difficult for her to transition into her life with the Murphys because it is so different than the life she had with her mom.

There is a lot of important dialogue in the story. One example is when Carly is struggling to make friends. Mrs. Murphy gives her advice and says “Would you say...that you're yourself around her? I always think that's the true measure of how good a friend is." - Page 150.

This demonstrates Mrs. Murphy's care for Carly and the relationships in her life. It also shows the development of the relationship between Carly and Mrs. Murphy. They have grown enough that Carly can talk to Mrs. Murphy about the important topics of friendship and relationships in her life. It also shows that Carly has grown - instead of wanting to be entirely independent, she wants to make friends with others in her new life with the Murphys.

The prediction I want to make is that I think Carly will choose to stay with the Murphys. I think this because she and Mrs. Murphy have grown close enough to have these conversations. Carley is comfortable enough to talk to Mrs. Murphy about her feelings.

The book I'm reading is the compound its about a young 9 year old kid that lives in a bomb shelter. for 15 years. and has no brother because the nuke destroyed every thing

Their dad, rex yankis wants theme to stay in the compound for 15 years its very important because it can teach you about the compound and how to survive a nucellar bomb

The book teaches how you can live in the compound.

My book is called" Kingdom Keepers." It is about 5 middle schoolers who were chosen to be hosts at Disney World. All 5 of them keep having the same dreams of that they are in the park but they are not actually dreams. The main host is named Finn and he is the leader of the hosts. The 5 hosts have to work together to defeat the villains that come out at night.

There are many examples of dialogue in the text but one important piece is when all of the hosts are hiding in a tent at Disney World and Maybeck said "That was green skin, not green makeup. Mark my words." This is about when Maleficent is let out of the park at night.- Page 125

That answers one of the questions about the main conflict because there is only one character in Disney that is green and that is Maleficent. Her skin was actually green so that means it was actually Maleficent and she brought cold air to the tent. Maleficent is one of the Disney villains who is let out during night. The whole book is about getting the villains out of the park and we just met the first villain.

I think that there will be other villains that come out later I the book and I think eventually the hosts will win but it might not happen in this book since it is a series.

My book is called Kingdom Keepers. The book is about these kids who signed up to be a Disney host at the Magic Kingdom. The thing that really creeps them out is that all of them keep having these "Dreams" about being in the Magic Kingdom at night with this creepy guy named Wayne. The main character in my story is Finn. The main goal they have is to work together to stop the Overtakers.

My dialogue is when Finn' mom wanted him to become a DHI. This could've effected the plot because if he wasn't a DHI he might not have found Charlene,his crush, or any of the other kids. This also give us some background information about how much Finn used to like Magic Kingdom.

My prediction is that i think when Finn goes to bed the next night and wakes up in Magic kingdom their will be villains there trying to stop him and his friends from defeated them.

My book is about two middle schoolers (Walter & Frankie) who are obsessed with Ikea. So on Walter's birthday they sneak in Ikea after it closes to stay the night.

"What about that loft bed in the showroom?" - pg. 68

It doesn't sound very important, but this is where they hide from the employees. So, they don't get caught staying after the closing time.

My prediction is that they will get caught or almost get caught. Their parents could figure them out. Or an employee will catch them when opening the store at morning.

The book I'm reading is Kingdom Keepers. It is about five kids who are about thirteen-years-old, and they were chosen to be hosts at Disney. They all go to the Magic Kingdom wall they are asleep, but it's not a dream. They have to go to the Magic Kingdom at night to stop the Disney villains from taking over Disney World.

I think an important piece of dialogue in my story is, "We need you to solve the riddle of the Stonecutter's Quill." -page 77. I thought this was an important piece of information because it is the problem that they need to find the answers to stop the villains.

I used question number four, the main conflict in my book is to solve the riddle of the Stonecutter's Quill. It is also a very important piece of information because it tells the reader (me) what the characters will be doing for the rest of the story.

The prediction I have for the rest of Kingdom Keepers is that they will stop all of the Disney villains. I also predict that the Disney villains will get cursed out of Disney World, so that there is no problem in Disney (for now).

My book is about Chase Ambrose, a former middle school football star, who got amnesia falling off his roof. Throughout the book, he tries to get his memory back and learn who he was and who he is now.

"If you want to go there when you don't have to, you didn't just scramble your brains. You knocked them out completely!"-Pg 71

This quote gives us what Chase's friends think of his "weird" actions when he joins the video club, which consists of nerds, and he's the most popular kid in school.

My book is about two best friends who love Ikea and decide to stay the night there.

"Now that we're doing this, I almost feel like I need to do this, if that makes any sense."-Walter, Page 65

Frankie was doubting if Walter was in or not, and Walter responded with the quote I listed above.

I think that Frankie and Walter will go have some fun in Ikea, but then they will get scared of the security guards and wait until they are gone.

The main character is Isabella (Izzy). Izzy has a hard time figuring out who she is, because she is mixed race with a black dad and a white mom. The main plot is that Izzy's best friend, Imani, found a noose in her locker. Imani is African American, and her parents protest and are in a lot of black pride groups. So, clearly the person who did it probably meant to be racist.

An important part of dialogue is "Because a noose means, well, a noose is what they used to hang people. Lynch people. Black people." Page 88 - Izzy Thornton

The dialogue I chose tells me that Izzy feels uneasy and is just confused about the situation. Especially, when it is targeted towards her best friend.

In my book there are two best friends, Frankie and Walter, and they decide if they want to spend the night at Ikea because they are obsessed with it. The conflict is that they are trying to stay away from the security guard. 

There are a lot of pieces of dialogue in my book. One example is, "Are you sure you want to do this? Because we could still totally catch up to your parents, if you'd rather." - Walter, Page 64. "I do want to." - Frankie, Page 65

This piece of dialogue motivates Walter and Frankie to take action because they are deciding if they want to actually spend the night at Ikea. Also, this dialogue contributes to the story by telling the reader that they are really going to spend the night at Ikea.  

I think Walter and Frankie will have a lot of fun, like walking around the store, laying on beds, and playing cards. Also, I think they might have to hide and run away from the security guard. 

The main character of Restart is Chase Ambrose. The book is about Chase's fall off the roof of his house over the summer and has to remember everything. He forgets how much him and his friends bullied people and forgets everyone he knows.

"He was helpful. He had good ideas. He was even nice. He's different" Pg.57

This answers question 1. Brendan is explaining different traits about Chase. It reveals Brendan's feelings about Chase.

I think everyone will realize that Chase isn't really a jerk anymore. He is very different.

The main character is a teenager named Jonah. Jonah, his sister Katherine, and best friend Chip find out that Chip and Jonah are adopted, and it is connected to a bigger mystery involving the F.B.I. that they work together to try and solve.

My book is called "The Compound." It is about a boy named Eli who has to live in a compound with his family, and they have been living there for six years. While entering the compound six years ago, Eli's brother, Eddy, and grandma both didn't make it in time before Eli's dad had to close the compound.

There is not a lot of dialogue in the story, but I thought an important quote that Eli said is "I was going to take it...I won't, though." (pg. 39)

This shows that Eli is honest, even when he is going to take something he wants.

My prediction that I am making is that I think at the end of the book, Eli and his family will come out of the compound and start to live a normal life again. I do not think that they will find Eddy and Gram, though.
