Most things the Egyptians did was related to making their gods happy. Their gods where beveled to be like humans in many ways. They had a few very important gods like Ra and Abuses. Pharaoh was important he/she was thought to be both human and god. Their gods had animal heads.They believed that their gods controlled many different aspects of their lives. their main gods where Isis, Osiris, Abuses, Amon-Re, Ra, Horus, and Thoth. They believed that after some one died they would go to the underworld. They thought that you would go through the underworld facing many dangers. Than get to a room where your heart was weighed against the feather of truth. If it weighed less than the feather you would live in happens. That is why the Egyptians mummified their dead. The sarcophagus was an outer protection for the mummy and helped the Ka could find the person. It could be made out of any thing. Tombs where important because the Ka was supposed to live there, and to help the dead to get through the underworld. The Egyptians put lots of stuff in their tomb because they thought that you could take it all with you.
