Psychological and Technological Techniques are used in making the business successful by the use of scent, this helps the business to be successful because when the business pumps out a nice smelling fragrance then the store will seem clean and tidy which then will mean that the customers are more likely to make a purchase. Another technique that is used is interactive technological this helps the business to be successful because it’s a cheap and effective way to advertise and help promote their products, this is because they don’t have to pay a wage to a interactive screen but also because they can put all the information in one place for the customers to access this means the customer can have easy access to everything they will need to know. Colour can also help the business be successful because it can help the customer come associated with the business because of a colour so every time they see the colour they will think of the brand. Holograms also help the business to be successful because the business can use holograms to demonstrate a product and run these all day without it stopping compared to when an actual person does it there will be breaks and they might forget to mention certain parts of the demonstration. Lighting is also another Technique that can help a business to be successful, this is because lighting helps to make products more appealing but also draws the attention of the customer towards the product and on nothing else.

They also use interactive technology that they use to let customers use to read up on how technical products but also watch videos on demonstrations of that particle products. Dior also use electronic displays to help promote new products that they have but to also promote their business and the other products they have.

ASDA uses a lot of different visual merchandising techniques like interactive technology, for example tablets that have all the products that are sold on that aisle and demonstrations to show how the products can be used. They use these on technology aisles to show new features of TV’s to phones this helps the customer understand the product and saves the busniess money as they don’t have to hire a member of staff to do this job. They also use electronic advertising to promote their products, they use this method because it can be cheap but also they can get across the information that they need to get across easily but it can be changed quickly compared to virtual advertising methods.

DIOR don’t use many technological techniques but they do use electronic displays
