         <description><![CDATA[<div>One tradition done by japan is every year at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve, Buddhist temples all over Japan ring their <em>bonsho</em> (temple bells) an even 108 times, an event known as <a href="https://theculturetrip.com/asia/japan/articles/how-to-celebrate-new-years-in-tokyo/"><em>joya no kane</em></a>. This number represents the number of human desires, which according to the Buddhist faith lead to pain and suffering. <em>Joya no kane</em> is a ritual meant to drive away these negative emotions from the past year.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>6 thick-cut pork chops</li><li><br></li></ul><div>4 tart apples, peeled and sliced</div><ul><li><strong>Organic Apples Bagged Organic Gala Apples 2 Lb</strong></li><li>$2.99 for 1 item - expires in 4 days</li><li><br></li><li><br></li></ul><div>1 large onion, sliced</div><ul><li><br></li></ul><div>water to cover</div><ul><li><br></li></ul><div>1 quart sauerkraut</div><ul><li><br></li></ul><div>1/2 teaspoon fennel seed, or to taste</div><ol><li><br>Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown pork chops in hot skillet, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Drain.</li><li><br>Arrange apples and onion in the bottom of a slow cooker; top with browned pork chops. Pour in enough water to cover bottom of the slow cooker crock.</li><li><br>Cook on High for 3 hours (or on Low for 6 hours). Add sauerkraut and fennel seed to pork chop mixture.          <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>3 tablespoons Dijon mustard</li></ul><div>1 1/2 tablespoons honey</div><ul><li><br></li></ul><div>1/4 cup dry bread crumbs</div><ul><li><br></li></ul><div>1/4 cup finely chopped pecans</div><ul><li><br></li></ul><div>4 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley</div><ul><li><br></li></ul><div>4 (4 ounce) fillets salmon</div><ul><li><br></li></ul><div>salt and pepper to taste</div><ul><li><strong>Great Value Salt, 26 oz</strong></li></ul><div>1 lemon, for garnish</div><ol><li><br>Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).</li><li><br>In a small bowl, stir together butter, mustard, and honey. Set aside. In another bowl, mix together bread crumbs, pecans, and parsley.</li><li><br>Brush each salmon fillet lightly with honey mustard mixture, and sprinkle the tops of the fillets with the bread crumb mixture.</li><li><br>Bake salmon 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
