I think the norms that were being broken here were that going to the gym you take either your headphones or just listen to the music in the gym or just not listen to anything but taking a speaker to take while you’re working out I think is crazy this person was African-American And normally when I have had a previous jobs African-American do tend to take their own speaker just so they could put their own style of music so I feel like I kind of associated with that. I feel like you should be able to take your own speaker, but I think for respect to other people workout time if you want to play a certain music, you should get your headphones And not play loud music because not everyone can enjoy each other’s music.

I think this happened to me once where I heard that we were allowed to play music, but no one would play music so I decided to bring my own speaker and play music that I liked.
