         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Most important things to be well?</strong><br>- access to culture is pivotal and key<br>- decolonizing the mind<br>- more teachings that need to be unveiled <br>- continual circles to discuss who we are and where to go<br>- remove what is not part of who we are - so we can speak from that innocent space of nurturing<br>- identity and how you connect is changing. walking in two worlds is not working for young people anymore<br>- young people are making the space their own <br>- needs are different. specialized education. walls and institutions don't work<br>- reflecting on yourself. self love and appreciation for who you are within the 7 grandfather teachings<br>- by loving yourself you will make others love themselves too. That's grounded in culture and you don't have to be just indigenous you can just be yourself<br>- its okay to be well and happy. kindness and positivity can be authentically too<br>- strength in using the circle for healing<br><strong>How can we best support/motivate/mobilize youth &amp; indig leaders?</strong></div><ul><li>give youth space to be themselves</li><li>learn who the youth are</li><li>removing the idea of consequence</li><li>safety is important b/c fear institutions hinders creativity</li><li>allow future leaders and youth to mobilize as they view is best without consequence</li><li>training to mobilize. capacity building. allowing them to be involved and tag along and a chance to listen/ask questions</li><li>support youth by loving unconditionally</li><li>allowing young people to do it their own way and outside of your idea of getting things done</li><li>leadership should have different styles and view so it is authentic to them</li><li>be patience</li><li>asking elders to share</li></ul><div><strong>What kind of world do you hope to create? What kind of legacy do you hope to leave?</strong></div><ul><li>asking them at a young age what kind of world do you hope to be in and what world do you dream of</li><li>connection to yourself and within the classroom. building relationships within the school system.</li><li>Remembering everyone has a purpose allows for the connection (land and to life)</li><li>connection to ancient part of the earth .. hope.. bringing back hope by reconnecting to the land and finding a vision</li><li>institutions to give vision space to reconnect with a natural vision.. with ipods.. include ways to </li><li>be active and eat ancestiary</li><li>develop a vision and understand history</li><li>legacy of a safe space for people to truly be themselves with positive impact to express who they feel like</li><li>get the people who are here now and further on into life, to know what the true story is about turtle island. </li><li>to have both sides shared in history and taught both sides</li><li>not only learning in the news but the history being taught in classes</li><li>as a parent, learn about different stories and encourage inclusiveness to reflect that to your children</li><li>as a parent, have your children exploring things outside themselves, supporting causes and always learning</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Most important things to be well?</strong><br>learning where we come from, access to<br>safe spaces,<br>indigenous knowledge and spirituality, programs (after school)<br>access to traditional foods,<br>like minded people, peers,<br>access to ceremonies, healing,<br><strong><br>How can we best support, motivate and mobilize youth and other Indigenous leaders?<br><br></strong>art programs, dedicated space for creative arts, dialogue with speakers, language speakers with activities, land based activities,<br><br><strong>What kind of world do you hope to create? What kind of legacy do you hope to leave?<br></strong>to be safe to identify with who you are, others come with their language and culture intact, they have no fear to speak or practice language or culture, we fear reprisal, our elders and teachers have helped us to come out of this darkness, to feel pride, create a safe place to come out to come back to life, have to go and seek the teachings, Badasimose: coming this way, empowering ourselves and others to be strong, kind,<br>speaking our language with love and kindness, practicing our culture without fear of reprisal, want to make a difference with the little ones, not to have to go through what we have gone through growing up, be proud of going to school and our language, engaging with youth who look like us, that we have come from a place of hard work and dedication and love, its alright to know your name, your birthright, your name<br><br>Not even one more child can / should be bullied or targeted for who they are.<br><br>Boys need to feel proud and safe to have long hair<br>Our children deserve to be safe<br>I want my legacy to mean that this never happens again. </div>]]></description>
