TopHat is a great interactive website to help keep students engaged and for the teachers to see who is staying engaged. It can be used to take attendance, have discussion posts, and ask questions. It is very useful in combination with a presentation. It is best when used after a slide in your presentation that you want deeper thinking on. You can move to top hat and have great discussions or assesments.

Google Slides

This was a key tool used in this class. All of our presentations for the class were done on Google Slides and it helped make things go smoothly in the class. Google Slides is an easy way to make slides for a presentation and has a lot of cool features like allowing students to submit questions to a Q&A or embedding useful videos and links that you can click on to view.

This tool was only used once in our class and was an interesting and different experience. It was a group assignment where we had to schedule a meeting together through the app and prior to the meeting we all had to read multiple articles and answer a few prompts that were provided. The meeting started with everyone taking an individual knowledge check and then we got put in a video conference where the app used AI and sound tracking to grade us all individually on our participation.

Padlet is an online collaboration tool that allows students and teachers to create interactive boards that they could share ideas, links, pictures, and videos for everyone to see and respond to. This is a great tool to help with brainstorming, project planning, and discussions and is very popular for group work and visual learning.
