         <description><![CDATA[<div>Gage was a rail road foreman that was hit by a iron rod that he was using to pack explosive powder into a hole. The iron rod exploded and was driven completely through his head and exited through the top of his skull, and destroyed most of his brain left frontal lobe.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Most people say that even though Gage survive he wasn't the same person he had changed not physically but mentally. his personality was different he used to be a likable person but after he was very disagreeable, and quick to anger. Gage was intentional trying to be aggressive towards people it was just the area in his brain where the rod hit called the limbic system, that effected his emotions. <br>Emotions are important for survival and quality of life.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After the accident not only did Gage survive he was also able to speak and walk. I was thinking even with him surviving he would probably die a couple days later, but he actually lived for 12 more years.  </div>]]></description>
