The book that I choose was Infiltration by Sean Rodman. I enjoyed the book because it was very suspenseful. The ending was very unexpected and the plot twist really surprised me. The single story in this book is about teenagers being reckless and what causes them to be reckless. Different characters come from different families and that significantly affects their ideology of why they do reckless things. I would recommend this story to people who don't like reading a lot but have to for school or are trying to kill time. The book is easy for teenagers to relate to.

In this book review, the author hints at the thought processes of the main characters. Kieran doesn't not have a good relationship with his dad because Kieran's mom committed suicide. This bad relationship causes Kieran to make reckless decisions to attempt to get revenge at his dad. Bex comes from a pretty normal family and he enjoys doing things that are reckless. The feeling makes him happy and he also does it due to peer pressure.

This song talks about parent relationships, teenage love, and reckless teenage behavior which are the main themes of my book. I thought that this song reminded me of my book and Khalid talks about his reckless behaviors. I think that the song shows that all teens do reckless things and peer pressure can be one of the leading causes of that along with it being a way for teenagers to cope with stress. This supports the stereotype that teenagers are reckless.

This poem covers the topics of mental health, guilt, and hope. This poem helped me realize how bad decisions you make in your teenage years can you affect you for the rest of your life. The protagonist shows that they regret decisions they have made in the past and how they still affect them.

This article talks about why teenagers do reckless things. The writer explains that a lot of reckless behaviors in teens are caused by "peer-group influence." Research clearly shows that there is a social component to risky behaviors. This builds a deeper connection of the emotions and thought processes of the characters in Infiltration and makes the story feel more relevant and real to me. It also helps me connect the social aspects of friendships with the influence they play in decision-making.

Introduction

The single-story that my novel made me notice was teenage recklessness. What makes teens reckless? Do they make bad decisions from peer pressure? This topic is important because it is relevant to all of us. We all know of other teenagers our age who make reckless decisions. I would recommend first reading the article about the psychology of teenager's behavior and then listening to the song. This gives the reader background information about the topic so that they can make more sense of the book and idea. I would then read the novel Infiltration followed by the children's book. Reading the children's book after the main text allows you to connect the two stories to the same ideas.
