These particles and gases can come from car and truck exhaust, factories, dust, pollen, mold spores, volcanoes and wildfires. The solid and liquid particles suspended in our air are called aerosols.Long-term health effects from air pollution include heart disease, lung cancer, and respiratory diseases such as emphysema. Air pollution can also cause long-term damage to people's nerves, brain, kidneys, liver, and other organs. Some scientists suspect air pollutants cause birth defects.
Air pollution knows no borders even in your own body, says public health expert María Neira. In this startling talk, she describes how the microscopic particles and chemicals you breathe affect all your major organs (including your brain) and calls on both the public and those in power to take action to stop the sources of pollution.

Good news, it's wrong. As it turns out, the research that factoid is taken from was studying experts in their respective fields, and not, say, the average trombonist.

In this talk, new father Josh Kaufman walks us through how long it actually takes to learn a skill which, incidentally, is only around 20 hours. Now sure, 20 hours of practice isn't going to make you the next Bobby Fischer, but it will be enough time to teach you the basics and, most importantly, how to auto-correct yourself when you've done something amiss. If you've ever felt like the ship has sailed on learning a new language, playing an instrument or learning a new skill, this talk is for you.

Name : Anindya Diva
Npm : 1911040020
Class : 2E/PBI

Everything happens for a reason and other lies - Kate Bowler
At 35 years old, Kate Bowler was living the life she always wanted for herself. She had married her high school sweetheart, become a mom for the first time, and landed a dream job in academia. She worked hard, and she felt like those efforts were paying off for her just as they should. After all, good things happen to good people, right?

But that same year, Kate received an unexpected diagnosis of stage 4 cancer. In that moment, her life—and her system of beliefs—was turned upside down. Today, over 3 years later, Kate is working to understand how people can live full lives in the face of pain, suffering, and uncertainty, and she’s sharing her findings with the world.
Kate Bowler Told “ I believed that hardships were only detours on what I was certain would be my long, long life
A few months after I got sick, I wrote about this and then I sent it off to an editor at the "New York Times." In retrospect, taking one of the most vulnerable moments of your life and turning into an op-ed is not an amazing way to feel less vulnerable.
I got thousands of letters and emails. I still get them every day. I think it is because of the questions I asked. I asked: How do you live without quite so many reasons for the bad things that happen? I asked: Would it be better to live without outrageous formulas for why people deserve what they get? And what was so funny and so terrible was, of course, I thought I asked people to simmer down on needing an explanation for the bad things that happened. So what did thousands of readers do? Yeah, they wrote to defend the idea that there had to be a reason for what happened to me. And they really want me to understand the reason. People want me to reassure them that my cancer is all part of a plan. A few letters even suggested it was God's plan that I get cancer so I could help people by writing about it. People are certain it is a test of my character or proof of something terrible I've done. They want me to know without a doubt that there is a hidden logic to this seeming chaos. They tell my husband, while I'm still in the hospital, that everything happens for a reason, and then stammer awkwardly when he says, "I'd love to hear it. I'd love to hear the reason my wife is dying ."

And I get it. We all want reasons. We want formulas to predict whether our hard work will pay off, whether our love and support will always make our partners happy and our kids love us. We want to live in a world in which not one ounce of our hard work or our pain or our deepest hopes will be for nothing. We want to live in a world in which nothing is lost.

But what I have learned in living with stage IV cancer is that there is no easy correlation between how hard I try and the length of my life. In the last three years, I've experienced more pain and trauma than I ever thought I could survive. I realized the other day that I've had so many abdominal surgeries that I'm on my fifth belly button, and this last one is my least favorite
But at the same time, I've experienced love, so much love, love I find hard to
Finally Kate Bowler launched a national conversation about why it feels so difficult to speak frankly about suffering. She delves into how we live and cope with pain and suffering in Everything Happens for a Reason (and other lies I’ve loved), a NYT bestselling memoir, and in her popular podcast, Everything Happens. She is also the author of Blessed: A History of the American Prosperity Gospel
The last one kate bowler tell “ Life will break your heart, and life may take everything you have and everything you hope for. But there is one kind of prosperity gospel that I believe in. I believe that in the darkness, even there, there will be beauty, and there will be love. And every now and then, it will feel like more than enough. “

What if I don’t give up today? By Kim Pangestu

Kim is a graduate from le cordon blue Sydney, one of the most premier schools for culinary arts. She has worked with renowned Australian pastry chefs, from Adriano Zumbo, Kristen Tibballs, Tetsuya, and Peter Doyle.

When she came back to Indonesia in 2013, she started her own patisserie shop Kimmy patisserie before joining Nomz kitchen & pastry in 2014 as a chef partner and head pastry chef, mastering and overseeing all the dessert, cake, pastry and sweet canapé creations in the restaurant.

She this time told how the beginning of her trip to the point where she felt that was the peak of her career.

According to her, everyone has a variety of life, maybe we see it like their way is very easy but on the other hand they actually take a difficult way.

Before she was a pastry chefs, she actually did not choose the pastry chef. She was actually a university drop out she initially took the business but suddenly she changed her mind and in the end she choose pastry chefs as her goal.
Many doubt her decision because at that time cooking was nothing.

She still chose the passion she chose and did not listen to other people, finally she underwent her passion namely pastry chefs.

She did not think that pastry chef was much more difficult than she though, she thought pastry chef only made cake, to decorate cakes but more than, that she even had a lot of burns because she worked cooking.

She even hesitated and thought, “ did I choose the wrong decision?”

But she thinks again that every job must have its own challenges and you will see that challenges before your eyes and that time you choice is only to surrender or keep fighting?

So she thought, what if I don’t give up today? If she gives up and time will still go on tomorrow will still be right.

If I give up today maybe I won’t know what will happen today and if I choose notto give up the I can learn if there are mistakes.
So she finally chose not to give up and keep fighting.

She told when she graduated from school she had 6 months to look for work and at that time was having a crisis of trouble finding work for 3 months she has been looking for work but was unsuccessful. Until she had given up because there was no work for her.

Then in the end she registered at Peter Doyle, famous restaurant in Sydney. She had previously been rejected by the manager, but because of her persistence she was accepted by chefs who worked there.

Because she felt this could not be wasted and this is a gift, so she worked earnestly and could impress him until finally she was appointed as Head of Production.

And from that she learned that don’t give up, keep going we never know what happen for us. If we are given trust, don’t let the person down and don’t do half measures.

And from Peter Doyle Kim’s career was wide we open she had the opportunity to work at Tetsuya one of the best Restaurants in Australia and there she became the first Indonesian woman who could work in the number one restaurant in Australia.

And starting today trust on yourself and if you have passion continue right but if you have a dream follow your dream too.

And this is the reason why she speak with theme "What if I don’t give up today?" .

Name : Melin Puspita Dewi
NPM : 1911040394
Class: 2E
Subject : Extensive Listening

Resume from TED video “ The power of beliefe –
mindset and success by Eduardo Briceno”

Some people suggest things like hard work, focus, and persistence is the key to achieve goals or success. But research show that are all by-products of something else, that is really critical to success. The key to success is not simply effort, or focus, or resilience, but it is the growth mindset that creates them, the mindset itself is critical.
Example for people who has achieved great succes is Josh Waitzkin (a chess international master and the subject of the movie “searching for bobby fischer”). John says “ the moment we believe that success is determined by an ingrained level of ability, we will be brittle in the face of adversity”.

Some people see intelligence or abilities as fixed what is called a fixed mindset and other people see intelligence or abilities as qualities that can be developed what is called a growth mindset. These two different mindsets leads to very different behaviors and results.
Result showed that the students with a growth mindset, who thought that they could change their own intelligence increased their grades over time, while those with a fixed mindset did not. Other studies have shown similar effects for mindset about other abilities like problem solving, playing sports, managing people or anything esle.
People with a fixed mindset see effort as a bad thing, something that only people with low capabilities need, while those with a growth mindset see effort as what makes us smart, as the way to grow. And when they hit a set back or a failure, people with a fixed mindset tend that they are incapable. Whereas people with a growth mindset understand that set backs are part of growth, so when they hit one, they find a way around it.

There are Three things that any of us can do instill a growth mindset in ourselves and in those around us. First, recognize that the growth mindset is not only beneficial but it is also supported by science. Neuroscience shows that the brain changer and becomes more capable when we work hard to improve ourselves. Second, learn and teach others about how to develop our abilities. Learn about deliberate practice and what makes for effective effort. And third, listen for your mindset voice, and when you hear it, talk back with a growth mindset voice. If you hear, “i can’t do it”, add “Yet”.

“If you change your mindset, you will also change many things in your life.”

She’ s s bit confused because despite her mother mom telling her all the time that she’s beuatiful. Every day at school, someone tells her that she’s ugly. Because of difference between what her mom tells her and what her friends at school telling her, she dosen’t know to believe. So, she take a video of herself . she posts it to youtube and she ask people to please leave a comments: “am i ugly or am i pretty?” well so far, Faye has received over 13.000 comments. Some of them are so nasty, they don’t bear thinking about. This is an average, healthy-looking teenage gril reveiving this feedback at one of the most emotionally vulnerable times one of the her life. Thousand of people are poting videos like this. Mostly teenage grils, reaching out in this way. But whats leading them to do this? Well, today’s teenegars are rarely alone. There’re under pressure to be online and available at all times, talking, nessaging, liking, commenting, sharing, posting, it nevers ends. Surely we want our kids to grow up as healthy, well balanced indivudials. But in an image obsessed culture, we are training our kids to spend more time and mental effort of all off the other aspects of their indentities.
Six out of ten grils are now choosing not to do something because they don’t think look good enough. They have lower self-esteem they’re easily influenced by peoplre around them and they’re ar greater risk of depression. And we think it’s for all of these reasons that they take more risks with things like alcohol and drug use, crash dieting, cosmetic surgey, unprotected, earlier sex, and self-harm. The pursuit of the perfect body is putting pressure on our healthcare systems and costing our governments billions of dollars every year. And we don’t grow out of it. Women who think they’re overwight again, regardless of whether they are or are not, have higher rates of absenteeism. Seventeen percent of women would not show up to job interview on day when they weren’t feeling confident about the way that they look. Have a think about what this is doing to our economy. If you actually want to make a difference, you have to do something and we’ve learned ther are three key ways:
1. The first is we have to educate for body confidence
2 be better role model
3. work together

Right now, our culture’s obsession with image is holding us all back. But let’s show them the truth. Let’s show them that the way you look is just one pf part of your identity and that the truth is we love them for who they are and what they do and how they make us feel. Let’s each and every one of us change the way we talk nd compare ourselves to other people. And let’s work together as communities, from grassroots to gevornment, and no matter who you are, what you do, always be yourself and love yourself.

Guy Kawasaki.

Resume.
You know, the theme of thinking and defining and creating is all about innovation.
This is my top 10 of the art of innovation. :
1. Make Meaning
It starts with the desire to make meaning as opposed to make money. Making meaning means that you change the world. And I think you’ll notice that if you happen to change the world, you will also probably make money. But if you start off with the sole desire to make money, you probably won’t make money, you won’t make meaning, you won’t change the world, and you will probably fail.
2. Make A Mantra
The second step is to make a mantra: A two- or three, maybe four-word explanation of why your meaning should exist. This is an anti-example.
3. Jump To The Next Curve
The third thing is the matter of perspective. The perspective is to jump curves. Not to stay on the same stupid curve that you’re on. Not to try to do things 10% better.
4. Roll the DICEE
The fourth thing is to roll the DICEE. These are the five qualities of great innovation. Great innovation is Deep. Lots of features, lots of functionality. This is a picture of a fanning sandal made by Reef. Arguably the deepest sandal ever made. Every sandal has one primary purpose: to protect your feet. If you look at that circled area, that’s a metal clip. That metal clip is for the sandal to open beer bottles. This sandal has twice the functionality, twice the depth of any other sandal in the world.

5. Don’t Worry, Be Crappy
The fifth thing is, I stole something from Bobby McFerrin. He had a great song: ‘Don’t Worry. Be Happy’. But what innovators do is don’t worry, be crappy.
6. Let 100 Flowers Blossom
Number six. Number six is to let 100 flowers blossom. Letting 100 flowers blossom means that at the start of great innovation, you may think you have in mind exactly who your user is, exactly who your customer is, what they should do with your product.
7. Polarize People
Number seven, polarize people. Great products, great services, great innovation polarize people.
8. Churn Baby, Churn
Number eight is churn baby, churn. This is stolen from the Black Panthers who said “burn, baby, burn.” But what innovators in business do is they churn, baby, churn. They take version one and they make it 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 2.0. The hardest thing in the world. Because to be an innovator you need to be in denial. You need to be in denial because the nay-sayers, they’re going to tell you it can’t be done.

9. NICHE Thyself
Number nine is all the marketing you need to know. It is to NICHE thyself. It’s a very simple chart. On the vertical axis we measure uniqueness. On the horizontal axis we measure value.
10. Perfect Your Pitch
Number ten, perfect your pitch. If you’re an innovator, you have to learn to pitch. Two key points about pitching. First, customize your introduction. Start with something customized to the audience..

Personal Opinion.
So in my opinion, innovation can be interpreted as that is as a process and / or the result of developing the utilization / mobilization of knowledge, skills (including technological skills) and experience to create or improve new products (goods and / or services), processes, and / or systems, which provide significant or significant value ... in carrying out or having innovation, it must have commitment and a principle so that the innovations that are carried out can be successful. because innovation often has a problem or obstacle.
can be concluded from the explanation of the above resume. an innovation, he has become a venture capitalist, entrepreneur, advisor to Google. and he teaches or explains that he has done a lot and has learned a lot about innovation, which he wants to convey to us now so that we can go and change the world for the better. and he explained the top 10 art of innovation in order to succeed.

Name: Diana Komala Sari

NPM: 1911040316

Class: 2 E

“What Would Happen If You Didn’t Drink Water” by Mia Nacamulli

Water can be found everywhere, except in the long dry season, it will be difficult to find water. Water is underground, icebergs, reach our bodies. The average human body contains 55-60% water. And when a human baby is born there is a water content of up to 75%, but when the baby is 1 year old, the water content of the baby drops to 65%. So what exactly is the role of water for our bodies? And how much water should we drink every day?
H2O compounds in the body function as joint lubricants, regulating body temperature, nourishing the brain and spinal cord. Water is not only in the blood, 3/4 of the brain and heart of an adult human consists of water, lungs with 83% water content, human bones contain 31% water then why do we have to drink water every day even though in our body there is lots of water? Because every day we take 2-3 liters of water through sweat, urinate and defecate and breathe and we have to replace the fluid that has been lost. To avoid dehydration and most of the water is also not good for the human body. Lack of water causes dehydration. Dehydration can cause decreased energy, moods, moisture in the skin, blood pressure and cognitive impairment. Whereas if excess water can cause cells to swell, water poisoning that causes headaches, vomiting, convulsions and even death. Maintaining the balance of the amount of water is easily done by drinking 8 glasses per day. But experts say the amount of water we drink depends on our weight and our environment. It takes 2.5-3.7 liters of water for men and for women 2-2.7 liters per day. The range depends on whether we are healthy, active, old, or overheated. Consuming enough fluids will affect how we feel, our thoughts and our daily work. And drinking enough is also beneficial for us in the old days, such as reducing the risk of stroke, managing diabetes and reducing the risk of certain types of cancer.

Name : Aulia Ulva Devi Nadila
Npm : 1911040036
Class : 2E

resume from video “The secret of learning a new language” by Lydia machova.

Many peoples want to know why they are spending years trying to learn even one languages, never achieving fluency and they wanted to know the secret of polyglots, people who speak a lot of languages. How do actually others polyglots do it?, what do we have in common?, and what is it that enables us to learn languages so much than other people? . the best play to meet a lot of polyglots is on even where hundreds of language lovers, meet in one place to practice their languages.
Benny from ireland have method to start speaking from day one, he learn a few phrases from a trave phrasebook and goes to meet native speakers and starts having conversations with them rigt away. Lucas from brazil, who had a really interesting metod to learn russian. He simply added a hundred random russian speakers on skypes as friends, and then he opened a chat window with one of them and wrote ‘hi’ in russian. And the person replied “ hi, how are you?”. Lucas copied this and put it into a text wondow with another person. And the person replied “ i’m fine, thank you. And how are you?”. Lucas copied this back to the first person. And in this way, he had two strangers have a conversation with each other without knowing about it. And soon he would start typing himself because he had so many of these conversations that he figured out how the russian conversation usually starts. And then there any polyglots who always start by imitating sounds of the languages, and others who always learn the 500 most frequent words of the language, and yet others who always start by reading about the grammar. Everybody seems to have a unique way they learn a language, and yet we all come to the same result of speaking several languages fluently.
The one thing we all have in common, is that we simply found ways to enjoy the languages learning process. all of them using different methods, but they always make sure it’s something that they personally enjoy. We simply found ways how to enjoy the process, how to turn language learning from a boring school subject into a pleasant activity which you don’t mind doing every day. If you don’t like writing words down on paper, you can always type them in an app. If you don’t like listening to borng textbook material, find interesting content on youtube or in podcasts for any language. If you’re a more introverted person, you can apply the method of selftalk you can talk in the comfort of your room, drscribing your plans for the weekends, how your day has been. Or even take a random picture from your phone and describe the pictures to your imaginary friend. It’s available to anyone who is willing to take the learning into their own hands.
Is really crucial to find enjoyment in the process of learning languages, if you want to achieve fluency in a foreign language. You’ll also need to apply three more principles.
1. You will need effective methods.
2. Creat of sytem in your learning
3. A bit of patience.
If you’ve also tried to learn language and you gave up, thingking it’s too difficult, or you dont have the language talent, give it another try. Maybe you’re also just one enjoyable method away from learning that language fluently. Maybe you’re just one method away from becaming a polyglots.

Because we always make it complicated and now, we start to learn, and learn to be together. Because, we were taught to disconnect ourselves from everything else, to be independent, so we can rely on the money only. We don’t need to rely on each other. But now, to be happy, we need to come back, to connect to ourselves again, to connect to other people, to connect our mind and body together again. So, we can be happy. Life is easy. And from beginning until now, what I learned is the four basic needs: food, house, clothes and medicine must be cheap and easy for everybody, that’s the civilization. But, if you make these four things hard and very hard for many people to get, that’s uncivilized So, now when we look at everywhere around us, everything is so hard to get.
I feel like it’s wrong, it’s not normal. So, I just want to come back to normal. To be a normal person, to be equal to animals. The birds make a nest in one or two days. The rats dig a hole in one night. But, the clever humans like us spend 30 years to have a house, and many people can’t believe that they can have a house in this life. So, that’s wrong. Why we destroy our spirit, why do we destroy our ability that much? So, I feel like it’s enough for me, to live in the normal way, in the abnormal way. So, now I try to be normal. But, people look at me as the abnormal one. A crazy person. But, I don’t care, because it’s not my fault. It’s their fault, because they think like that. So, my life is easy and light now. That’s enough for me. People can think whatever they want. I cannot manage anything outside myself. What I can do is change my mind, manage my mind. Now, my mind is light and easy, that’s enough. If anybody wants to have a choice, you can have a choice. The choice to be easy or to be hard, it depends on you.
In my opinion, life is easy but we ourselves make it difficult, because we do not think well what we want to do good for us or even make us suffer and we care too much about the opinions of others that make our lives more difficult, for example , entered a department at a university that others thought was good, but we didn't like it. That is what makes us lose direction and lose confidence. When you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing none including yourself. In the process, you make your life comlicated and miserable. The best way to lead a simple life is to think high. The higher are your thoughts, the simpler becomes your life because you have to then follow only one person gives advice, you. If you do so, your life Will become naturally simple

Name : Ervinda Agesti

NPM : 1911040079

Class : 2E

10 Ways to Have a Better Conversation (By Celeste Headlee)

This world that we live in, this world in which every converation has the potential to devolve into an argument, where our politicans can’t speak to one another and where even the most trivial of issues have someone fighting both passionately for it and against it, it’s not normal. A conversation requires a balance between talking and listening, and somewhere along the way, we lost that balance. Now, part of that is due to technology. The smartphones that you all either have in your hands or close enough that you could grab them really quickly. There are 10 basic rules for having a better conversation :

1. Don’t multitask

Be present, be in that moment. If you want to get out of the conversation, get out of the conversation, but don’t be half in it and half out of it.

2. Don’t pontificate

You need to enter every conversation assuming that you have something to learn. The famed therapist M. Scott Peck said that true listening requires a setting aside of oneself. And sometimes that means setting aside your personal opinion. He said that sensing this acceptance, the speaker will become less and less vulnerable and more and more and more likely to open up the inner recesses of his or her mind to the listener. Assume that you have something to learn. Bill Nye : “Everyone you will ever meet knows something that you don’t.” Everybody is an expert in something.

3. Use open-ended questions

In this case, take a cue from journalists. Start your questions with who, what, when, where, why or how. If you put in a complicated question, your’re going to get a simple answer out. If I ask you, “Were you terrified?” you’re going to respond to the most powerful word in that sentence, which is “terrified,” and the answer is “Yes, I was” or “No, I wasn’t.” “Were you angry?” “Yes, I was very angry.” Let them describe it. They’re the ones that know. Try asking them things like, “What was that like?” “How did that feel?” Because then they might have to stop for a moment and think about it, and you’re going to get a much more interesting response.

4. Go with the flow

That means thoughts will come into your mind and you need to let them go out of your mind. We’ve heard interviews often in which a guest is talking for several minutes and then the host comes back in and asks a question which seems like it comes out of nowhere, or it’s already been answered. That means the host probably stopped listening two minutes ago because he thought of this really clever question, and he was just bound and determined to say that. And he stop listening.

5. If you don’t know, say that you don’t know

Err on the side of caution. Talk should not be cheap.

6. Don’t equate your experience with theirs

If they’re talking about the trouble they’re having at work, don’t tell them about how much you hate your job. It’s not the same. It is never the same. All experiences are individual. And, more importantly, it is not about you. You don’t need to take that moment to prove how amazing you are or how much you’ve suffered.

7. Try not to repeat yourself

8. Stay out of the weeds

Frankly, people don’t care about the years, the names, the dates, all those details that you’re struggling to come up with in your mind. They don’t care. What they care about is you. They care about what you’re like, what you have in common. So forget the details. Leave them out.

9. Listen

You have to listen to one another. Stephen Covey said it very beatifully. He said, “Most of us don’t listen with the intent to understand. We listen with the intent to reply.”

10. Be brief

Go out, talk to people, listen to people, and, most importantly, be prepared to be amazed.

What we need is motivation. Tali Sharot brings us to change our own and other people's behavior in a positive way. So far we believe that giving a warning to someone can affect their behavior, but in reality this has little effect. Instead of using warnings, we must apply principles that really move the mind and behavior.
Starting from the simple thing that is determining our dreams because this is the source of our motivation, rewarding ourselves and others for things that will have a positive impact in the future, Don't let negative thoughts get in our way because negative thoughts will become habits negative while positive thoughts will become positive habits, no need to compare what we have got with others, don't be afraid to make mistakes because we have to keep moving forward despite many obstacles.
With these positive things we can feel more in control of our lives and motivate us properly.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN YOUR LONELINESS

Name : Muhamad Cahyo Nugroho
Npm : 191104046
Class : 2E

Now, for many people, the internet can feel like a lonely place. It can feel like this, a big, endless, expansive void where you can constantly call out to it but no one's ever listening. But I actually found a comfort in speaking out to the void. I found, in sharing my feelings with the void, eventually the void started to speak back. And it turns out that the void isn't this endless lonely expanse at all, but instead it's full of all sorts of other people, also staring out into it and also wanting to be heard. Now, there have been many bad things that have come from social media. I'm not trying to dispute that at all. To be online at any given point is to feel so much sadness and anger and violence. It can feel like the end of the world. Yet, at the same time, I'm conflicted because I can't deny the fact that so many of my closest friends are people that I had met originally online. And I think that's partly because there's this confessional nature to social media. It can feel like you are writing in this personal, intimate diary that's completely private, yet at the same time you want everyone in the world to read it. And I think part of that, the joy of that is that we get to experience things from perspectives from people who are completely different from ourselves, and sometimes that's a nice thing.
When someone shares that they feel sad or afraid or alone, for example, it actually makes me feel less alone, not by getting rid of any of my loneliness but by showing me that I am not alone in feeling lonely. And as a writer and as an artist, I care very much about making this comfort of being vulnerable a communal thing, something that we can share with each other. I'm excited about externalizing the internal, about taking those invisible personal feelings that I don't have words for, holding them to the light, putting words to them, and then sharing them with other people in the hopes that it might help them find words to find their feelings as well.
And so one night, when I was feeling particularly sad and hopeless about the world, I shouted out to the void, to the lonely darkness. I said, "At this point, logging on to social media feels like holding someone's hand at the end of the world." And this time, instead of the void responding, it was people who showed up, who started replying to me and then who started talking to each other, and slowly this little tiny community formed. Everybody came together to hold hands.
And in these dangerous and unsure times, in the midst of it all, I think the thing that we have to hold on to is other people. And I know that is a small thing made up of small moments, but I think it is one tiny, tiny sliver of light in all the darkness.

The power of vulnerability By brane brown

Name : Khoirummuthmainnah
Npm : 1911040117

1. Don't bury your emotions, become self-aware
Most of us are taught to hide our emotions or run away from them. However, this only causes constant pain and stress. The consequences are far away and the longer we store those emotions, the worse the situation.

Instead, Brown said we need to become more self-aware and explore our emotions, ask questions to relate to how we feel and think at any given moment.
Find methods to get rid of these feelings that work best for you like writing, meditating, or talking with friends.

2. Vulnerability requires courage
Most modern cultures err on the side of feeling depressed in an effort to show strength. However, as Brown points out in his very important research, vulnerability is not a weakness. In fact, it takes true strength and courage to let yourself be vulnerable.

The cool part about it, is that the gifts we open willingly become vulnerable far beyond the difficulty of doing so. By having the courage to be vulnerable and open to ourselves and the world around us, we are in direct contact with our most authentic selves. And, by doing that, can live a much more fulfilling and happier life.

3. Appear, face fear, and move forward

jump-in-head-first-overcome-fear

In everything we do, fear and criticism will always be there to welcome us. Fear is a great limiting force, because it stops most people from going more than one foot outside their comfort zone to realize their true desires.

Because fear and criticism will always be in some form, the best course of action is to always appear and move forward. Whatever you do, show it every day to do what you should do and don't let this obstacle stop you.

The more resistant you are to this negative power, the more you will flex your courage and endurance and appear stronger for it.

4. Look for excellence, not perfection
Brown said perfectionism was, "the belief that if we live perfectly, look perfect and act perfectly, we can avoid pain due to mistakes, judgments and shame."

Perfectionism is not about growth, improvement, or personal achievement, it's about fear and avoidance. Therefore, what you need to focus on is realizing excellence, the best version of yourself regardless of your shortcomings. This perspective is healthy and inclusive and leads to real personal growth as opposed to flawed perfectionism.

Human rights are usually addressed to the state, or in other words, it is the state that carries the obligation to respect, protect and fulfill human rights, including by preventing and following up on violations. Everyone everywhere has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion. Everyone has the right to hold any belief, or not at all, and enjoy the freedom to change beliefs.
What makes you special? By Mariana Atencio

Name : Riska Ayu Diana
Npm : 1911040190

Summary :
Mariana Atencio is a journalist. Her job is to talk to people from all walks of life, all over the world. her story begins in Caracas, Venezuela in South America where she grew up, a place for which she is and will always be filled with miracles and wonders. when she was seven years old her father sent her and her sister to Brainnerd, Minnesota. When the camp director introduced them, The other kids looked at them as if they are from another planet.
We all have difficulty seeing people as they are when they are overwhelmed by differences. Or maybe if you don't treat people differently, you are someone who is seen as an outcast. Topics like intimidation, indifference, and how it defines us and our actions, etc., are topics that can be linked to many things.
When she was in senior high school, her dad from Caracas sent her to Wallingford. She got a roommate named fatima who is a Muslim from Bahrain. because selfishness makes mariana hate fatima.Mariana then realized all the pain she had caused her roommate. She understood herself once, she was an outcast.
She realized why people see a minority group as someone who is different because they think the minority group will threaten them. only because speaking in different languages minorities accept intolerance, hatred, and narrow minds. On the other hand stuck no one wants to do it the only way out is that being aware of being different also means thinking differently.
I really like Mariana's way of thinking which makes me feel that differentiation is not a logical reason to distinguish any group. because being different is not a destiny that requires oneself to hide but differences are choices that make us progress.
"What makes me different has made me stand out and be successful"-Mariana Atencio
Thank you for Mariana you made me believe that i am not different but I'm Special.

So my process begins and ends with imagination, and it's like my imagination is two pieces of bread in a research sandwich. as storytellers, first and foremost, I try to live in the world through the eyes of my characters and try to see how they navigate their personal challenges in context. I ask myself how a brilliant city in the future will ensure that no one is left homeless and nothing escapes the rift. And this is where future history is useful, because cities don't just spring up overnight like weeds. they appear and change. a city in the future must have a monument, yes, but it must also have layers of past architecture, repurposed buildings and all signs of how we got to this place.
then there is the second order effect, there is something very strange about the current system that we have in the United States, where your waste is dumped into tunnels to be mixed with rain water and often discharged into the sea. not to mention toliet paper. a group of technicians, led by Biil Gates, are trying to rediscover the toilet now, and maybe the toilet of the future can seem very strange to someone alive today. so how is the future history, all future, all trial and error, leading to a better way. I can imagine some pretty complicated dystopian scenarios where things like internet quizzes, dating applications, horoscopes, bots, all combine to drag you deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole into its realization and worse politics. but then I think about the conversations I have with people who work for Al, and what I always hear from them is that the smarter Al is, the better at making connections. so maybe future social media will be better. maybe it will help us to form healthier and non-destructive relationships. as a transgender, I like to think what if we make progress in understanding the endocrine system that increases options for trans people, in the same way as hormones and surgery expand choices for previous generations? so finally basically, I'm here to tell you, people talk about the future as if it would be a miracle of the technological world or some kind of apocalyptic barbecue poo. we know is that the future will be very strange. just think how strange the beginning of the 21st century is for someone since the beginning of the 20th century. and, you know, there is a kind of logical fallacy that we all have in which we expect the future to be an extension of the present. like, people in the 1980s thought that the Soviet Union would still exist today. but the future will be far stranger than we might have dreamed. but we can try and I know that there will be scary things, scary things, but there will also be miracles and salvation. and the first step to finding your way forward is to let yo

These suggest that performance suffers when the mind is preoccupied with worries, doubts, or fears, instead of focusing its attention on performing the task at hand.

When relevant and irrelevant thoughts compete for the same attention, something has to give. The brain can only process so much information at once.

So, how can we avoid choking when it really counts?

First, it helps to practice under stressful conditions.
