Malekka is a girl who goes to school with a lot of mean people. She gets made fun of for things she wears, the fact that she is poor and that she is not popular. She borrows cloths from a fake friend of hers named, Char. Malekka's mom sews her clothes and when she sews them everything is out of place and she gets made of for it. Malekka ends up getting in a fight over petty things and her mom makes her get a job with no pay at the school.

I give this book a 5/5 stars because this book has a lot of definition in it.

Marilyn Lopez Barrera

In the book Victory by susan cooper, there is basically 2 main characters, which their stories are separated by time length. Sam´s story takes place in 1802 where he lives with his family and is a farm boy, he later on gets kidnapped with his uncle charlie to serve the HMS victory for the battle of trafalgar, british vs. the french. Sam was in the ship for 3 years where they fight the war in 1805, Lord Nelson dies a hero´s death. The other story which takes place in the 2006, Molly is the main character in this story, where her family moves to connecticut because of the dad´s job, Molly really misses her home which is london. Then one day she buys a book about Nelson, which she discovers a piece of cloth on the book, this makes her closer to the old times that sam and Nelson lived during the war, which will make her understand herself better and the life of those 2 characters.

I give this book a rating of 4/5 stars because the book has 2 stories, which somehow connect even though they are in different time lengths. Also the genre is Historical fiction so if you like both fiction and history, it is the right book for you. Because I really liked the book. You can see how the setting and people effect the character, and you can see the deeper meaning to it than just physically. That is why I give it a rating of 4/5 stars.

But instead of going back to class and moping about her book she decides to fight for all the banned books and why other people have the right to decide what students can or can not read.

I gave this book a 5/5 because this book has a lot of plot twist and has a very good amount of teenage humour and a lot of realistic personalities and some very good vocabulary which helps you picture the story. also i gave this book a 5/5 because i can relate to this book because 3 years ago in 3rd grade my favorite book Walking Dead Realistic Edition was banned because there was to much graphic violence and gore and because a 1st grader found it and read it and cried until the librarian came and asked him why he was crying.
