  •  Jess' Goal in this episode is to get Schmidt to relax
  • Jess, the protagonist, wants Schmitt to learn how to relax. He is obsessive over even the smallest things out of place, like the  hutch Jess put in the living room, the inciting incident. However, Nick and winston say listen to schmidt because he has ultimate say because he cooks,cleans and organizes everything so messing  with that will turn to disaster. But,  Jess wants Schmidt to learn to relax and does not listen.

    •   Jess brings schmidt down to the boardwalk to learn to relax. At first Schitt, the drama queen he is, freaks out and it appalled by the slightest thing like a little boy eating ice cream, or riding a bike etc. However, then when he sees an attractive girl playing the drums, he flips a switch and joins in. The spanner occurs now and Schmidt joins a hippy band. To add, Jess taches schmidt to not clean up and as a result, she ‘messes with the ecosystem”. This causes Schmidt to  stop cleaning and the apartment gets messy. Schmidt plays the drum and is a hippy. He takes the chill thing to the nexxt level and lives like a homeless person. This spanner part is very unlike Schmitt who loves every thing to be in perfect order.
