cancel culture is a form of group shaming, often social media–based, usually targeted at celebrities and other notable public figures. Canceling someone is a public reaction to a particular person's objectionable opinions or actions usually takes the form of a de facto boycott of the target's work and an online campaign to draw attention to the perceived offenses and damage the wrongdoer's cultural reputation. Cancel culture can be for anything and I mean anything even if your right or wrong. Some targets of cancel culture have been fired or suspended by their employers, inhibiting their ability to earn money. Celebrities may retreat entirely from public life as a result, though this is often temporary.

My view point on this article is the same. I think cancel culture is bad because in some or most cases canceling someone is wrong. People can get canceled for anything meaning it can be for the most stupidest thing that shouldn’t be canceled for.

Cancel culture can be good and actually get people that deserved to be in jail, or should be called out for there insane comments or whatever they did like Sarah Silverman, via her hilarious song about it.

Cancel culture has turned into something good and turned into something so terrible. Pretty much no one is safe one day you can be loved and the next day you are getting hate for a joke that a lot of people liked but just because it’s a trend people will try to get rid of you.
In its current form, cancel culture is anonymous, fuelled by a pack mentality, and intensely polarising – “I am right, you are wrong.” It teaches us that if someone does something wrong, or champions someone or something that we may not like or agree with, then we must stop supporting them immediately. No grey areas allowed: they’re cancelled, they’re finished, and their name is attached to the #IsOverParty hashtag to prove it.
