He was born in Alberta, Canada in the XIX century, and is part of a sub-branch of the human race, that is called “the Lupinos”. This race is a middle point between the wolves and the humans. Being part of this race gives Logan some abilities as an accelerated health factor, retractile claws and improve senses.

Logan could be in a rich family, but this doesn´t mean all was arranged in his life. When he was just a child his parents died and left Logan alone. 
So he had to adapt the situation and learn to survive thanks to a wolves family that took in Logan to their herd. With the wolves, Logan learns which was the best way of the animals to get well rid of trouble.
The killing was that action that assures Logan to be safe. in the Second World War, he started fighting for a good cause. So, he became part of the group commanded by Captain America, this group, wanted to defeat Red skull and stop the Nazis. 
Wolverine after forming part of the secret group that finished the supervillain career of red skull decided to get into the secret program of Weapon X. In which Wolverine put in his body adamantium, however, all his memories disappeared. So the only thing that was left in that body apart of the adamantium was the savage of an animal.
Passing the years he enters to different superheroes groups and finished in the X-Men. Logan is just not a good role model,  he can be a hero but the way he acts, his steps is not the best to follow. 

Put yourself in the position of a father, would you like your son to be like wolverine?.
