He shared his own experiences, as well as some really useful tips and advice on how to approach psychometric assessments with more confidence 💡📘✨ It was a great opportunity for our current students to hear honest insights from someone who has been through the process themselves.

After the session, he also stopped by the AFE Social Club and spent time chatting with our current students 😊☕🎲 It was wonderful to see that strong sense of community, with alumni coming back to support, encourage, and inspire others.

A well deserved break after all the hard work and dedication shown throughout the year. We are incredibly proud of everything our AFE students have achieved.

Enjoy your break, AFE students! We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the AFE Social Club in the next academic year 2026/2027 this September.

Our session, delivered in a podcast-style format, explored how the AFE Social Club has developed as a student–staff partnership initiative that supports belonging, wellbeing, confidence, academic engagement and employability. Rather than presenting the Social Club simply as a wellbeing activity, we shared how it can also be understood as a pedagogically relevant model for building inclusive academic communities.

A particular highlight was hearing directly from our students and alumni, who reflected on how the Social Club has supported their personal development, academic confidence and professional growth. Their voices reminded us that meaningful learning and teaching partnerships are built not only in formal classrooms, but also through the informal spaces where trust, connection and belonging are developed.

We were also delighted that the work of the AFE Social Club has been recognised through awards and nominations, including the AICPA & CIMA CGMA Accounting Educator Award 2025 for Global Champion in Higher Education Diversity and Inclusion, the MDX Outstanding Achievement Award 2025 for Outstanding Contribution to Student Experience, shortlisting for the PQ Magazine Awards 2026 Student Champion of the Year, and nomination for the Barnet Civic Award.
