An engineer is a person who designs, builds, or maintains machines or public works. Engineers apply the principles of science and mathematics to develop economic solutions to technical problems. The work conditions are noisy and at times, could be dirty. Work times are also unpredictable as well, you might have to go in on the weekends even if you call an off day. You must obtain a Bachelor's Degree from a school accredited by the Accreditation Board. You must also have at least 4 years of work experience in engineering. The work average is 40-hours each week, no shift work. Some positive features are that it pays very well and it opens up many job opportunities. While on the other hand, some negative features is that the work is stressful and the time you must stay in school is incredibly long.

An article that can relate to my Career is "OPINION: College or technical ed? Here’s why students need both". The reason that it can relate to my career is because it talks about building Social Science skills and you need to learn these skills because it will aid you in any type of Science Engineering. Another reason is that it also states that in college, you can work as a team to complete an assignment and working as a team is a major necessity in being an engineer.
