Jane Eyre an autobiographie written by Charlotte Brontë is a story about a young Jane eyre living with her wealthy aunt after the passing of her parents whom she barely knew. Her aunt sends her to Lowood school, an institute for orphan girls. This school is a reflection of the school the author attended. Its abject conditions serve as a reflection of the personality of the man who runs it: Mr. Brockelhurst, a character solely based on the founder of the school Charlotte Brontë attended.

After a few year Jane becomes a teacher at Lowood but later becomes a governess for the Rochester family. Throughout the book she becomes closer to Mr Rochester and they eventually get married but then an individual from Mr Rochester’s past crashes into their life making her leave Thornfield Hall. Penniless she wanders in the street looking for a place to live until she arrives at the Moore house where the residents Diana, Mary and the clergyman St. John Rivers, nurse Jane back to health. The Moore house is the first place she will call home.
