As a teacher who has never worked with special needs students I was surprised to learn that 1 in 68 children is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. That means that there's a good chance I'll have several students in the course of my career as a teacher who is autistic.I also saw the benefit of young children learning how autistic children might react in certain circumstances as giving them an experience they could carry to the classroom where they might have an autistic classmate. My last take on this article was the information at the beginning of the article about the books that introduced Julia before she became a muppet in this series. I thought that was a great way to make Julia a familiar friend before putting her in the muppet shows.Overall, this was also an interesting way to introduce the public to Julia and how she became a muppet! DONE.
