A boy named Link has to set out on a quest to save the kingdom of Hyrule from the evil demon king Ganondorf. He lives in the Kokiri forest with humanlike people. He thinks he is a Kokiri but when he finds out he isn’t. None of his friends recognize him because the Kokiri are a race that never grows up.  He can’t defeat the demon king unless he has the legendary blade, the master sword. It can only be drawn from the chosen hero, which is Link, and when he draws the blade he is transported to a different dimension where he is trapped in a magical sleep for seven years. When he arrives from the other dimension he is an adult and the kindom of Hyrule has fallen to Ganondorf and he finds himself at a ranch he saw as a child. A man named Ingo was acting suspicious who works at the ranch. Then Link soon finds out that Ingo has been possesed by Ganondorf.

Then Link confronted Ganondorf’s two evil witches who work for him that are called Twinrova. Link defeats Twinrova by using his shield to reflect their magic. He heads to Ganondorf’s castle and kills Ganondorf with the master sword. The princess of Hyrule, Zelda uses the magical ocarina of time that link has to send him back in time to his original timeline as a child.

A boy named Barry lives in New Orleans and they hear on the news that hurricane Katrina will be heading their way in a few days and when they hear that it is a mandatory evacuation they have no choice but to leave. Barry’s family normally doesn’t leave their house but they have to now. When they get in their car Barry’s little sister was very sick and kept on throwing up all over the car and they were stuck in traffic and everyone was uncomfortable with her throwing up over and over again so they had to go back to their house. The first day the hurricane came to New Orleans Barry was afraid but he tried to stay calm and took a nap and when he woke up their whole downstairs had been flooded and  they had to go to their attic for safety. It kills most of Sachi’s classmates and she is hurt a lot. She can’t move her left arm and her face is messed up. There is a phone booth in New York that everyone uses, but then the phone booth notices a shiny object in someone’s hand, that he soon realizes that the shiny object is a portable phone. The phone booth has no use anymore now, but one day there was a storm and lightning struck the cell towers and no one could make a call on their phones so there was a huge line to use the phone booth. Then the mayor wanted to take down the phone booths, but the citizens wanted to keep the phone booth, so they did and the phone booth is popular again.

Blip was far away from her house and there were a lot of animals nearby and Blip befriended the animals and did everything she could do on her computer but it was real. It was getting late and Blip headed back to her home and plugged back into her computer. But all Blip could think about was how great it was to be unplugged. My favorite part of the book is when Nerdy Birdy and his friends play on Tweetster. Nerdy Birdy is friends with Vulture and they do a lot of silly things together. Nerdy Birdy discovered a new game called Tweetster, where you can make friends, send photos, and text people. Nerdy Birdy has earned 500 Tweetster friends and Nerdy Birdy and Vulture are still friends, Vulture got Tweetster too. Nerdy Birdy and Vulture were eating lunch together and Nerdy Birdy took a photo of the dead thing Vulture was eating and sent it to his Tweetster friends. Vulture found out and was embarrassed. Vulture left Nerdy Birdy and ignored Nerdy Birdy, until Nerdy Birdy found Vulture and said one real friend is worth a thousand Tweetster friends.

They were taken to the hospital and only some of each cops body blew up so the doctors put together the parts of their body that didn’t blow up, then dog man was created. Dog man is the worlds best police officer and the chief of the police department didn’t think that he could be a good cop. Melody Brooks is a girl who has cerebral palsy which affects her body movements and her muscles. She has had trouble her whole life because of that but she also has something called photographic memory, where she can remember something that she has seen or heard perfectly. She is 11 but she can’t talk, eat without help, or go to the bathroom without help. At school the only classroom she goes to is room H-5 for disabled kids. Every December they get out a snowman named Sydney that none of the students like. Melody’s teacher is still teaching them the alphabet when they are far into the year and her teacher also plays childish music in class and Melody’s mom came in and got rid of the cd that her teacher was playing and got really mad at Melody’s teachers. Melody is able to be in classes other than room H-5 now and she made a new friend named Rose. Melody got something called a medi talker, a robot that lets her communicate with people by typing. Melody and Rose went to an aquarium and Molly and Claire, bullies at her school were there. Melody is on a quiz team and they are doing a practice quiz and Melody got all the questions correct and her whole class was surprised. Melody’s team is going to Washington D.C to compete, but the rest of Melody’s group had gone early and had already left for Washington D.C without her. All flights had been cancelled because of weather problems. Once he makes it to the library he finds the books he wanted and goes to check out his books, but the librarian tells him he can’t check the books out because of his skin color and that he has to read them in the library, but Ron doesn’t give up and he won’t leave the librarian alone because he is very determined to get his books. Ron jumps on the table and shows her the books again and she calls the police. Ron still doesn’t get off the table when the police are there and Ron’s mom shows up and Ron still doesn’t give up the books or get off the table, but then one of the librarians give Ron his own library card and Ron finally checks out his books with pride.
