Known for her dedication to democracy and human rights, she spent years under house arrest but continued to advocate for peaceful political change. While her leadership faced criticism, especially concerning the Rohingya crisis, her commitment to democratic principles and the struggle for freedom has left a lasting impact on many.

-Ilma

Najib Razak’s foreign policy can be seem as promoting regional cooperation particularly with China.During his administration, Najib shows that he is open for economic cooperation through trade and granting lots of project with China in transportation and contractors sectors such as Kuala Lumpur -Singapore High Speed Rail and East Coast Rail Lin which financed by china COmmunications Construction Company. Malaysia also actively engaged with Belt and Road Initiative. Even though the public thinks Malaysia and China has quite strong tie and not have neutral stance on cooperating with US and China both superpower in this world. During Najib’s presidency, economic growth and development is undeniable but the major problem is high government debt and corruption.

one of the leading architects of regional order in Southeast Asia. His greatest contribution will always be Singapore’s economic development from a small port into the richest nation in the region, but let’s not forget how his style of governance - so called “Asian values” - inspired other leaders in the region. Singapore’s pragmatic and equidistant diplomatic relations with major powers is also a legacy of Lee’s astute statesmanship.

In terms of Malaysia's foreign policies, just like many other Malaysians, I do think that Dr. M contributed some significant initiatives such as the Look East Policy (LEP) implemented in 1982 with the objective of gaining knowledge from the practices of East Asian countries such as Japan, China, and South Korea. Under this policy, Malaysia produced its first-ever national car, the Proton Saga, which was a huge milestone accomplished by Malaysia as a developing country. Besides, diplomatic ties between Malaysian and East Asian countries have also been strengthened with multiple country visits and exchanges among the leaders. Bilateral trade cooperation also expanded significantly, especially in the electronic-electrical industry.

Joko Widodo, commonly known as Jokowi, is the President of The Republic of Indonesia. His foreign policy focused on economic development, maritime cooperation, and regional stability. Jokowi emphasises economic diplomacy that ultimately end up to a lot of FDI being attracted to invest in Indonesia and boost the economic growth. Comparing to the presidents dated back, Jokowi is the president that stresses the most on strengthening trade ties with various countries. Jokowi also highlighted the importance of being active in ASEAN in regional stability. Being the country that hosted G20 and the latest summit on energy conversion among ASEAN countries. Indonesia is known for its neutrality, and therefore Jokowi had exterted effors to maintain balance in foreign relations, enganging with both traditional allies andd emerging partners. Indonesia also had been active in enhancing maritime activity, under Susi Pudjiastuti in charge of ministry of ocean and fisheries. Indonesia have succesfully, through zero-tolerance approach, combat illegal fishing, and foster regional collaboration in the maritie domain. Personally, I am inspired by his people-centric leadership. He was very level-headed when it comes to handling extremists groups in Indonesia. He is connected to the normal civilians because he rose into power not through nepotism or wealthy background. His connectedness with ordinary citizens, shown in how he always visit remote areas and directly engange with commuities to understand their needs is also inspiring. Because of him, the development in Indonesia is more proportionately distributed to the eastern side of Indonesia, where it was mostly neglected by the previous governments. Jokowi also stressed a lot of needs to implement social welfare programs to improve the marginilised groups in Indonesia, often getting a lot of critics from the populist groups in Indonesia. This reflect his true commitment to social justice and inclusivity, working honestly on the things he believe in regardless of what the majority of the public thinks.

He promoted open markets, attracted foreign investment, and promoted the country's economic growth through a series of economic policies. Under his leadership, Vietnam's position in the global industrial chain has gradually improved.
