Athareta S (6/XI MIPA 6)

240221

Printed text form is one of the ways to communicate with others in terms of elaborating or even promoting something. It can be a product, place, or a service.

We can divide printext text form into four types. First, we have brochure. Brochure is a printed text form which includes an explanation about something. It doesn't contain any price and it has lots variety of sizes, such as tri-fold, bi-fold, or even double parallel panel brochure. It should be made to attract people at first glance. Second is pamphlet which also known as brochure. Though it looks similar to brochure, it has a difference in the content. Pamphlet contains prices, unlike brochure. The social purposes of pamphlet and brochure are just the same.

Third, we have leaflet. Leaflet is a sheet of paper containing brief explanation of products or services. Why is it small? Just like the name, leaflet. The intention of making leaflet as small and less handful is to make the distribution process easy. That's why leaflet is the most easily handed type of printed text form. The last type is banner. We usually see banner in streets or some entrances of events. It usually promotes an event or marketing things. It's huge and it should be more than a meter.

The structure of printed text form is title, contents, and contact persons. There's also language features in it. Like marketing messages, emotive and imperative languages, plural and singular nouns, personal pronouns and the possesive forms of them. Printed text form also uses persuassive way of addressing the information or the promotion. Simple present tense and direct language is also used in printed text form.

Printed text form is a public promotion of some products or services.

There's many types of printed text, like brochure, leaflet, banner, and pamflet. Let me explain one by one.

- Brochure : it's a booklet containing descriptive or advertising material, you can find brochure in everywhere. For example, when you walking on the mall there's some people give you a motorcycle brochure or anything elseBrochure has bi-fold or single-sheet and tri-fold or three sheet so it's simple to bring everywhere, also brochure should be very attractive cause we look for someone's attention.

- Leaflet : printed sheets with different sizes of paper. Either A4, A5 or A6 (the smallest). Leaflet isn't like brochure, cause the font size is small so brief information can be written in the appropriate forum. The reason why is so that can be easily handed over to anybody.

- Banner : Banner is a long strip of cloth bearing a slogan or design. Usually banner used for an formal event or in public space.

- Pamphlet : A small booklet containing information or arguments about a single subject. Pamphlet are non-periodical, they're written the layman simply and without excessive jargon.
