I talked with this patient throughout the day and throughout two group therapies. We did art therapy and a group therapy talking about the patients goals once they are discharged. I did not know what to really expect but it ended up being really cool for me. I got to be on the step down unit and it was really cool to see the patients interact and open up to us. In the beginning they were really standoffish but after we came back for lunch they started to talk to us a lot more and it was really cool to hear their life experiences. She was moved down to the 6th floor but was super pleasant and talkative. Mostly everyone was fine they were depressed or had alcoholism. And they didn’t have enough patients for all of us to do vitals and stuff.
