4. An essay is non-fiction, it is an experience or a memory of the narrator. An essay is a short nonfiction text which usually has a message for the reader to interpret. A Small Place is a short story of an experience which ahs a message for the reader, so it har all the characteristics.

5. The Point of view is 1st person, ex. “I am used to…”, which makes the story much more personal. It makes it feel like we are there with the author experiencing the story with her.  

6.The tourists are portrayed as naïve and stupid. They don't know anything about the place they are visiting and are making a lot of assumptions.
