         <description><![CDATA[<div>Born: August 16, 1902 in Salt Lake City, Was abandoned by his father shortly after he was born. His mother married and divorced many men when Thruaman was young. Thruamans dad reunited with him 3 decades after he left. Thruaman sometimes went and lived with his grandma who ran an illegal bar in her home. Thruaman was constantly sick and would have to drop out of school years at a time to recover from illness and heart attacks.worked as a newspaper reporter in Los Angeles. in 1925 he worked as an editor and a writer of novels, plays and journalistic articles. Thruaman apartment served as a central meeting for African American authors and artists.Thruaman produced a play that debuted on broadway in 1929, and the novels "The Blacker the Berry:A Novel of Negro Life "(1929), and also " Infants of the Spring" (1932). He got married to Louise Thompson on Aug 22, 1928. Thruaman died on December 22, 1934 at the age of 22.</div>]]></description>
