Shang Dynasty (1700-1122 BCE)

They used Oracle Bones to ask questions to their ancestors. The Oracle Bones told archaeologists about daily life in Ancient China. The kings would sacrifice people to get answers to their questions.

Zhou Dynasty (1045-256 BCE)

They build roads and channels for better trade and travel. This made it so they could travel to other civilizations faster. It also made it so they could trade with farther places.

Warring States Period (700-221 BCE)

There were seven major states left in this period. They fought each other until one came on top. The leader of the Qin Dynasty, Qin Shi Huang conquered the other six states and was the first emperor of ancient China.

Confucianism and Daoism Developed (500 BCE)

Parts of China broke up and formed states of their own away from Zhou kings. They were mostly independent and barely cared about the Zhou kings.

Legalism Developed (250 BCE)

One state called Qin started conquering all of the other states. This led to the QIn dynasty

Qin Dynasty (221-210 BCE)

Qin Shi Huang started to build the great wall of China. MAny workers died building the Great Wall of China.

Han Dynasty (206 BCE-220 CE)

The Silk Road was formed. Ancient Rome wanted silk so they traded and brought back wealth such as gold and gems.
