When I was little I used to be a picky eater. It's not that I didn't like the food, I just didn't want to try it because I was afraid it would be disgusting. So I was the typical girl who removed some ingredients from my meals or simply asked people not to add them. For example, when I was in a restaurant and wanted to order a hamburger, I would choose the classic one and ask the waiter to leave only the meat, ham and cheese, since everything else like lettuce, dressings, tomato, onion, etc, I wouldn't eat it. Or if I wanted pizza I would ask for a pepperoni one and just eat the cheese and pepperoni, I didn't like to eat the bread.

Nowadays I feel that I'm still a picky eater but way less than when I was little. As the years went by I started trying new food or adding some ingredients to the meals. However, even though I no longer remove almost everything from the burger, I still remove some ingredients such as lettuce and tomato. That's why I feel like I'm still picky but not as picky as before. As I mentioned before, I have dared to try new food, discovering that my favorite is salmon, something that I probably would never have dared to try when I was little. I consider that I not only love salmon but also meat, I enjoy it quite a bit and as a good Mexican I adore tacos al pastor.

I feel that in the future, as has happened in recent years, I will be less of a picky eater, I will surely add more ingredients to my meals and stop removing a few others. I love to travel and I hope that as I grow up I will have the opportunity to continue traveling, I would like to visit places where the culture is different from Mexico, where food is one of its greatest characteristics so I can try different dishes. You never know, maybe in the future my favorite food will be from a far away country. I would love all of that, but just continuing to have a good relationship with food is enough for me.
