Essentialism is like a factory. There are things to do each day that get done in an orderly fashion. There are clear rules and expectations and it is a focused workplace.

Behaviorism

Behaviorism is like getting a sticker at the doctor's office. If you are good at the doctor's you get a sticker but if you are not good there is no sticker.

Positivism

Positivism is like a science experiment. You have the instructions and the materials and your job is to watch the reactions and record the data.

Progressivism

Progressivism is like a meeting. Everyone contributes to help solve one or multiple problems. It is discussion based and everyone works together.

Humanism

Humanism is like creating a friendship. You treat each other with respect and develop interests. You are always building relationships with people.

Constructivism

Constructivism is like a debate. Discussion of different points of view is important. Questions are important to ask but respect is still prevelant.

Jinx-ism

Jinx-ism is like a group project. Students will work together and put their own personal touches to their learning. In my classroom aspects of progressivism and humanism are most prevalent.

Effective Educating

I want to be an educator because I enjoy it and I have a lot of patience. Patience is one of the best qualities an educator can have. You have to be a hard worker as an educator as well. The role of a teacher in a classroom should be a guide. The atmosphere should be peaceful but still full of discussion. I want my students to feel at ease when they are in my classroom. In my classroom students will be discussing their work and creating projects together.

Diverse Students

Diverse students will be a part of the conversation in my classroom. Only if they are struggling will they get separated from the group. Being a community is a big part of school and bringing someone away from that community is not something I believe in.
