I'm the course organiser for Computing in the Classroom. I went to school in Glasgow where I studied Higher Computing many many years ago. I'm also a graduate of AI and CS from Edinburgh. This is the most fun course to teach!

Hi!! I'm the TA for Computing in the Classroom. I took the course during my MSc. in 2021 and loved it so much that I came back to Edinburgh for my PhD in Informatics to work with Judy 😁 I'm in my second year studying the applications of Generative AI to Education. I studied CS and Entrepreneurship in the United States before doing an MSc. in CogSci at Edinburgh and an MPhil in Machine Learning at Cambridge.

Hi, I'm Kate! I've been a Computing Science teacher for 15 years before working at the University. I now run professional learning for teachers and make Data and AI Literacy educational activities - I make geeky escape rooms, board games and 'unplugged' activities for kids! :-D

Like Judy, I'm a graduate of Edinburgh, but I did AI and Psychology.

Hi! I'm a project officer on the Data Education in Schools project, working with Kate and Toni on supporting teachers and learners with Data and AI Literacy in schools. I studied physics and philosophy at uni, then did a masters in cog sci and linguistics, a PhD in language evolution, and a postdoc in biological evolution - all the while using computational methods for designing and running experiments and simulations. My dream is for all young people to be empowered to use technology to solve real world problems, or just to be creative, rather than being passive, uncritical consumers of big tech.

Hi, everyone! My name is Viktoriya, and I'm a 4th year Computer Science and Management Science student. I'm excited to apply what I've learned over the past few years to create engaging and inspiring experiences in computing, that will help schoolchildren form positive connections with STEM subjects.
