The following book- The Titan's Curse is the third book of the series. It is a book, where a group of three friends, Percy, his older cousin and another one of his younger cousin with one of his friends, Grover; who happens to be a mythological creature from Greek Mythology, go on a quest to save two of their other friends, one of who is a Greek Goddess- Artemis, and another one who is Percy's best friend- Annabeth.

 Percy’s word choice makes him seem very determined to find his lost friend. During the journey, Percy and his friends met one of the Greek Goddess- Aphrodite, wanting to mess with their adventure and place more burden upon them, mainly Percy. 

Although, this hadn't been the worst part, loosing two of his beloved friends and cousin during the quest was the most hurtful event. Bianca DiAngelo, his cousin, and a Hunter, Zoe Nightshade passed away while trying to save the rest, as much as Percy wanted to set back and pray for their passing, he was unable to do so. 

At last, at finding both, the goddess and his best friend, not just Percy but his friend Grover as well as his cousin Thalia were horrified. He had escaped his punishment of holding the weight of the sky for millions of years. He had made a child hold up the weight of the entire sky. Excusing Annabeth the burden, he freed her, he himself then holding up the weight. As described by Percy himself, the weight of it was worse than any one could ever imagine. It was something he had never felt before. It was horrible. 

Finally, after a very tiring and dangerous battle with a very powerful Titan, Percy and his friends and succeeded yet another quest, and saved a goddess, yet it had costed them the lives of two of his very close friends and a cousin.
