Student centered learning includes hands-on activities, collaboration, small groups, students leading discussions, and students engaged in learning.

To incorporate technology to meet the needs of the students we use Smartboard activities, Reading A-Z, Use Reading 3d data to plan small groups, Edmodo, and having access to the COWS, tablet or computer for student centers

Student centered allows the teacher to facilitate instruction which means the students are explaining and applying their knowledge of the content. The digital items are used that align or correspond with common core standards.

Some examples of how we facilitate digital learning is I ready and Star Fall. Read, Think, Write also allows the students to create thinking maps before they begin writing

Student centered allows students to freedom to direct their learning .
