On the first day, we arrived in Helsinki after a long journey, walked around and got to know the city.

On the second day, we travelled to Kuopio, our Erasmus destination, explored the city and took a cold walk around Lake Kallavesi.

We were welcomed at Kuopion Kansalaisopisto and shown around the school, where more than 15 languages are taught and workshops on activities such as crafts, sewing and painting are held. We also attended our first English and Spanish classes with groups of students from the school.

On our fourth day in Kuopio, we met the female school principal, who took us to Lake Kallavesi to do some sports activities. In this case, we chose sleds to take a ride on the lake.

The next day, we decided to take a morning walk around the lake and its surroundings. On the way to Kansalaisopisto, we stopped to visit Kuopio Cathedral and finally attended a survival Finnish course to learn a little more about the language.

We spent our last few days in Kuopio learning a little more about the culture and gastronomy of the area. We started the morning by trying skiing on the lake, attended a student parade to celebrate the end of their classes until university entrance exams, and ended the day by trying different types of meat at a Viking restaurant.

To round off the experience, the teachers from the kansalaisopisto took us to see Puijo, a tower on the outskirts of the city from which you can see the whole snow-covered landscape.

Finally, I would like to highlight the wonderful people we met during this experience, who helped us at all times and told us a little more about their city and culture, involving us in the life in Kuopio and teaching us their language and customs. It has been a truly full experience, with all types of activities, culture, laughter and anecdotes.
