It all started in (1954) In Topeka, Kansas. The skin colored people were done with all this segregation. They wanted their kids to have the same education as the non-colored people. They took this very seriously and also took it to the court. One man Oliver Brown changed everything for the best. He took this to the supreme court. They battled it out in court,it was worth all the fighting and waiting. On May 17th 1954 The us supreme ruled that segregation will no longer apply to schools. Skin colored people were allowed to go to school with non-skin colored people. All that hard work finally paid off thanks to Oliver Brown and all his hard work.
