Hello Belinda - in other assignments we’ve linked our reviews to the appendix by saying (appendix 1) etc. do we have to do that in this assesment as I don’t get how I’d do that? Or shall we literally just have a seperate appendix section? Thanks

Hi you can mention that the summary table of the literature searches and screening are in a PRISMA table in appendix one, or just put a note at the very end of the review when you sum up and conclude. Note appendices should proceed the reference section and not precede it.

If it's an article cited in another article you need to cite both ie the one that you are citing and then in the same bracket say in (Smith et al 2019 in Bloggs et al 2020). There should be instructions on doing this in APA style or Harvard style on the internet- see this

If you get a paper by John, 2021 but in that paper you find various references like in it it states William 2020 which one would you reference?

Basically, I want you to source the answer to the essay from the peer-reviewed literature and then answer the question that has been given as an essay rather than a systematic review with a methods section etc., as there is not room in 1500 words to do that. Is that OK?

The title of the essay states we need to focus on a degenerative disease, but at some point CFS was mentioned as a focus option. I was under the impression that CFS was a neuroinflammatory condition, rather than a neurodegenerative disease that results in structural damage. So is CFS an option as a neuroinflammatory condition, so we could choose other similar conditions that aren't necessarily degenerative; or is it on there as an official neurodegenerative disease?

Do all papers used have to be reviews? My interpretation was that we cannot use primary-research, all citations must be referencing some form of review style paper.

Should our systematic review table contain primary research? Or is it review-type papers only? Thank you
