There are 5 main course outcomes:
a) Plan and produce a composition
b) Improve IT skills
c) Develop communication skills
d) Increase knowledge of musical terminology and genres

There are tasks through the course you will complete to help you achieve these outcomes.


  1. Create a loop track within the software.
  2. Demonstrate how to add a track in the software.
  3. Apply “Pan” affect to a track when creating a song.
  4. Identify how to export their song to mp3 format.
  5. Show how to raise and lower an instrument level.
  6. Demonstrate how to save a file on the software.
  7. To use loops effectively in a short piece of music.
  8. Plan and produce a simple music composition.
  9. Describe what tempo means.
  10. Apply effective IT knowledge within the programme e.g by improving ‘trackpad’ skills
  11. Produce a piece of music which incorporates pre recorded loops within the music software.
  12. Demonstrate how to copy and paste loops within the song.
  13. To identify elements of music that change mood.
  14. Identify and use new musical terms in discussions about their work.
  15. Describe ways music is used/created by different cultures around the world.
  16. Demonstrate commitment by attending all sessions and turning up on time.
  17. Identify skills needed to work well in a team/group.

Picked 4 loops that sound good together in a track and adjust the sound levels so they don't clash and played kahoot. Not found anything difficult.

Looked at 2 that type of genres there is, what makes them sound like that genre, picked 2 contrasting genres and produce a basic track.
