Kindness Wall Activity: Promoting Inclusion & Connection
Welcome to our Kindness Wall, a creative and inclusive space where we celebrate diversity, kindness, and LGBTQ2+ awareness through art and shared experiences.
What’s this about? Participants will dip their hands in paint (or alternatively, outline their hand using a marker) to leave a colorful handprint on our canvas or poster board. Alongside your handprint, share a kind message or a positive memory related to inclusion, diversity, or LGBTQ2+ support. This symbolic gesture will help build a wall filled with hope, support, and pride.
Why we’re doing this: To promote inclusion and a sense of belonging To build self-esteem and empathy. To create a safe, welcoming space for all voices. To encourage respectful sharing and connection
After the activity, take a moment to reflect and respond to any two of the following questions:
•	How did you feel sharing your thoughts?
•	For those who shared a personal experience, did that take strength to open up about?
•	Did you enjoy the act of creating a Kindness Wall to support our inclusiveness and individuality?
•	Would you be interested in doing something similar each Pink Shirt Day? (e.g., paint on t-shirts, create bracelets, etc.)

Hi , I’m Walla!

Here is what I chose to write

(Everyone deserves to be seen, respected, and celebrated for who they are).

Because kindness isn’t just about being nice, it’s about creating spaces where people feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves. Every voice matters, and every act of kindness helps build a stronger, more inclusive community. So let’s keep the chain of kindness going.

debrief questions and self reflection:

How did i feel sharing my thoughts?
I will be honest I did feel a bit nervous at first, but once I started talking, it actually felt really good to share something meaningful.

Would i be interested in doing something similar each Pink Shirt Day?
I think it would be a great tradition. Listening to everyone’s stories made me realize how important it is to treat people with respect and care.
