The tundra has a very long, snowy, winter, and a short summer. The temperature varies from 10 to 20 degrees fahrenheit. It only rains about 6-10 inches a year It is recommend to come to the tundra during spring, if you want snow, because it isn't too cold and the ground is covered in snow. it's about -10 to 10 degrees (C) Its also nice in summer, because there is not as much snow on the ground, and the temperature is about 15 to 20 degrees (C). It is recommended to wear a thick winter jacket, gloves, snow pants, ect. considering the temp. is barely over freezing.

During the harsh winter the Tundra's plant life is very limited. However, when it becomes Spring and Summer there is a small amount of plants that bloom. Since there are not a big amount of plants in the Tundra, most of the plants are small and grow very close to the ground, such as grass and small wildflowers

Polar bears are fascinating animals, but their looks might be deceiving. They are intense animals. Polar bears have a very thick coat of fur to protecting them from the icy cold air. They are at the top of the food chain, but don't worry if you come to the tundra, you won't be on their menu. We make sure to keep dangerous wild animals away from the attractions.
