         <description><![CDATA[<p>At the elementary, we need less of the curriculum units. They are cumbersome. A scope and sequence is fine, but I do not know of another district that expects teachers to read two guides for each subject: the guide and the teacher’s edition. It’s a time suck.</p>]]></description>

         <title>ELA curriculum needs to focus on just using Amplify. The MSD guide is too overwhelming and frustrating to use. We also need to add some writing components to support beginning writers with explicit instruction. After 3 years of trying to use MSD guides it has been a struggle every year, and too many changes.  </title>

In meeting that we had at district, we had a resounding amount of teachers express a need for change. We were able to read district staff comments about ELA flipbooks and see a need for change. Please consider following Amplify without flip books.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I'm hearing rumors about k-2 loosing class sets of chromebook and Canvas.  This feels like a giant step backwards.  If we have one set of computers per pod for 4 classes to share it will highly complicate i-Ready testing and lessons.  For those of us who use Canvas...we've worked hard to integrate technology into our classrooms. We'll loose all that progress, and interactive projects and activities we've been creating. </p>]]></description>
