I feel my performance will help me develop my practice as a performer because I will have a given amount of time(2 weeks) which I have to use carefully and make sure I spend the needed time to rehearse so I can perfect my track not only as a solo performer but also within my band. It will give me experience and I will get a little more used to performing in front of a crowd/judges. This way I'll be able to feel the pressure of having to prepare and perfect a track for a given amount of time.

We are going to use piano and drums. 2nd of January - We haven't really talked about the way we are going to recreate this song yet but we surely are going to soon.
5th of January - We decided that Manoj is going to play a different intro and also his own instrumentation that he came up with at the end of the song.

I am going to be the vocalist and my part is singing the song. I will have to make sure that I sing in the right key and that I don't go flat, also be in time with the instrumentation.

What I am going to try to do is to make my performance more powerful and try to really feel the song because when I perform in front of people I am too nervous and can't show the emotions the song makes you feel. That matters a lot because if the audience can't feel what you are singing about, your performance loses its purpose and you can't keep the audience interested; and no matter how good you sing, if there is no emotion, it doesn't sound good enough.

Before I start practicing, I always begin with humming different parts of the song. I also try to breathe deep from my belly while singing, because it is very important to use my stomach and not my chest. If I am breathing correctly it will be easier to hit those notes in my high register.
