Washburne School is just one example of the many schools that do not fully understand how to properly dispose of waste. All around the school, recyclables and garbage have been carelessly tossed into the wrong bin. It may be very easy to simply toss out your disposals, but don't forget to ask yourself, "what effects does this have on the environment?"

Schools should have different colored recycling bags or bins to allow students to be able to tell the difference. This is what the trash cans and recycling bins look like. As you can see they are identical and they could be easily mixed up.
