In the movie, there were the bullies, the jocks. the good students and the weirdos. In my eyes and from what I see in school, I dont see anyone who bullies people. People get into arguments but no one is ever bullied. There are no jocks in our school and all the people who play sports never just hang out with others who play sports to. Everyone is friendly with each other but some people are just school friends and some are over the weekend. I feel as while we get older and become more mature everyone hangs out with everyone.

The stereotypes of the students in the film, "The Breakfast Club" seem a bit exaggerated. High school can be very clique-oriented, but today, or at least from personal experiences, we've never met someone we'd identify as a jock, or a bully, or a nerd, or a popular girl. Everyone branches out and talks to people that aren't on their sports team, or in the same club as them. Also, nobody is ashamed to talk to these people, and they don't worry about what their friends will say about you being associated with them.

A difference in the movie was that the principle and Bender got into a fight and the principle kept giving him detentions. I feel like today, you wouldn't willingly get into a fight with the principle and make it so that you keep getting detention, if you were to get into a fight with the principle i feel like it would only be to defend yourself or maybe a friend. Also, I do not think a principle would keep giving out detentions, if anything he would just suspend him. Also, there is no detentions on Saturdays anymore, only on school days.

The principal in The Breakfast Club was a large inaccuracy in the movie. In real life, principals and teachers do not go out of their way to make their students miserable. The principal was rude and took the punishments too far with Bender and the other kids. Students may not like their teachers, have arguments and have bad relationships with teachers, but in general a teacher will not harass a student like shown in the movie.

The principal was more strict in the movie than they are in real life. For example when the principal puts Bender in the closet and locks him in there as a punishment. You also don't ask a student to punch you in the face and start instigating violence between and teen and an adult.

When Brian got detention for having a gun in his locker, the consequences were not very big and maybe 30 years ago it would only be a detention as punishment. But today if a student were to get caught in the same scenario, it would be a huge deal with big consequences. Such as an investigation of that person, they might have to get professional help and would probably go to jail.
