before the performance I did have a little wobble but I got up and done it. Our performance went so well. I feel like next time I will work on keeping my mic close too my mouth but again I think it was just nerves. I really enjoyed the three songs we choose Valerie- Amy Whinehous ft Mark Ronson, Longshot-Catfish and thebottlemen and Hard Times- Paramore and I feel like we performed them really well.

However, things got complicated when another band chose the same song. One of our vocalists decided to tell the other band that we were changing our song—without discussing it with us first. This caused confusion and meant that instead of starting rehearsal right away, we had to stop and clarify what was happening.

I personally felt overwhelmed and ended up going non-verbal for a while. Hopefully, our next rehearsal will run more smoothly!

the timing was off during the majority of the performance wich threw me off a bit as i personally know original timings so to be signing along to a known song at a diffrent timing as we have done every other week or even at soundcheck it was a bummer. i felt i did alot better with actually singing into the mic than what i did in the first performamce. All i can say as an overall is that i hope we perform better next time.

“Ain’t It Fun” by Paramore is a pop rock / funk rock song with a confident, energetic feel . The song has effective structure, moving through verses, pre-choruses, and choruses, with a gospel-style middle eigjt that lifts the energy. The tempo is mid-paced at around 104 BPM and stays consistent throughout, with a 4/4 time signature and a straight groove that still feels funky . As the song progresses, it starts to builds from clean and tight to full and thick, especially in the chorus and middle eight.

The lyrics focus on growing up and dealing with real-life , it is written in second person, which makes the message feel direct and personal. The wording is simple which makes the song easy to follow and memorable. Repetition is used a lot in the chorus, especially with the line “Ain’t it fun…” and dont go crying, which helps reinforce the main idea of the song. The verses set up the message and tell the story, while the chorus delivers the main point in a catchy way. The middle eight changes the feel completely by adding a gospel vibe, making this section stand out from the rest of the song.

Melodically, the song stays mostly in F minor. The vocal melody in the verses is lower, calmer, and almost spoken, which contrasts well with the chorus, where the melody becomes higher, stronger, and more powerful. This change helps build excitement and makes the chorus feel bigger and more impactful. The chords are simple and mostly stay the same throughout the song, mainly using Fm, Db, Ab, and Eb. Vocally, the main role is to carry the melody and message of the song, using clear articulation, strong dynamics, and some spoken-style singing. Overall, these elements work together to give the song its confident energy and make its message clear and effective.

I am learning how to compose sounds for a movie ,the movie is called the black hole and it is about a man in an office who has discovered that his printer has magical abilities.

we had to compose together numerous different sounds we could get them online or produce the sounds ourselves to go with the actions on the video I had to be vigilant so that I could get them at the right timings for the movie.I got a booth and recorded all my sounds individually using a mic sitting in a booth with my computer keyboard, electric piano and a chair. I took a different approach to this project than my class peers I didn't take any sampling from online and didn't use any software instruments. I am happy with my overall project , I really enjoyed doing the black hole as it look alot of attention and preciseness .

perfect timings- perfect timing is a song abour meeting the right people at the right time , having opportunity’s and grabbing them i wrote it for the band specifically as i felt it fit the circumstances , we really do feel as if this is an opportunity and we are so glad we are being able too do this.

missing you- missing you has no big meaning behind it , it’s hopefully a song that’s gonna be portrayed in a way that other people can connect there feelings too it i’ve had this song for a little while now so was good too bring it into the band and too see how far it’s came .

birds in the sky- birds in the sky is a song i wrote for my mum that passed away , i wrote it with my guitar but the band have complete turned it into a proper funky piece , i love how i can have a piece of my mum in my journey through college and again it’s amazing too see the difference between my version and now the bands version.

golden haze-golden haze was a song i wrote a little while ago , about being with friends creating memories and music in the summer time ,i only had lyrics so i brought it into the band and they created a really nice melody , it still needs a bit of work but i’m really please with how it’s came out.

Thanks to you- I’ve been going through a really tough time the last few weeks and I wrote this song as a reflection of how grateful I am too have my people around me.
