....part of Einstein's letter

…In the course of the last four months it has been made probable - through the work of Joliot in France as well as Fermi and Szilard in America - that it may become possible to set up a nuclear chain reaction in a large mass of uranium, by which vast amounts of power and large quantities of new radium-like elements would be generated. Now it appears almost certain that this could be achieved in the immediate future… This new phenomenon would also lead to the construction of bombs, and it is conceivable - though much less certain - that extremely powerful bombs of a new type may thus be constructed. A single bomb of this type, carried by boat and exploded in a port, might very well destroy the whole port together with some of the surrounding territory… I understand that Germany has actually stopped the sale of uranium from the Czechoslovakian mines which she has taken over. That 5 she should have taken such early action might perhaps be understood on the ground that the son of the German Under-Secretary of State, von Weizsäcker, is attached to the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Institute in Berlin where some of the American work on uranium is now being repeated.
                                                  Yours very truly,
                                                                   Albert Einstein
                                                                  August 2nd, 1939

I know you didn't write the letter yourself, but I wonder if you didn't know the overall contents of this letter even though you lent me your name. I believe that Roosevelt's letter appealing to him that he should hurry to develop nuclear weapons so that it is not later than Germany is an act that should not be done while understanding the situation. You regret signing this letter and in your later years, it turns out that you want no one to be harmed by anti-nuclear activism and opposition to nuclear weapons.

To Albert Einstein

Hello, I am a high school student living in the 21st century. I think it is an honor for me to reply to you after seeing this letter. I also commend you for your hard work and hard work that you will have failed and stood up hundreds more times in the past few months. It would never have been easy. In fact, the reactions and generations that you've developed are a lot of citations in the science and development of the 21st century and are making a lot of progress.

But your development threatens humanity by being alone. In the 21st century, your development has gone beyond citations to fear-mongering levels. Through your development, weak countries or conflict countries are threatened, and there are countless slaughter, regardless of whether you are a child or an elderly person, and you live with anxiety every day. It is impossible to fathom the feelings of the misery and misery of those who lost their country when a country collapsed, not just the port and the territory around it. You can understand that because you are in that situation, you have a strong desire to end the world war right away, so you have relatively less thought about the future. But I'm sure you'll regret it if you're alive until the 21st century, and you see this spectacle. You may find me strange by looking at my letter, but I hope you understand my sincerity at all and stop developing and find other ways.

Good bye then.

the 21st century's selection of students.

Of course, your letter does not change the fact that it caused a nuclear war, but I think that if the Nazis, who indiscriminately slaughtered Jews at the time, developed a nuclear bomb first, the entire human race could have been destroyed beyond Jews. So don't feel guilty that you've always taken responsibility for the decisions you've made so far and started nuclear development, and I think that a small number of sacrifices can inevitably occur in the process, so rather than focusing on taking someone's life, I want you to live with greater value on sacrifice.

Your warning about the potential dangers of nuclear energy was prescient, and it helped to set in motion the Manhattan Project, which developed the atomic bomb.

I know that you were ambivalent about the development of the atomic bomb. You understood that it could be used for both good and evil, and you feared that it would lead to an arms race between the United States and the Soviet Union. However, you also believed that it was important for the United States to develop the bomb first, in order to prevent Nazi Germany from doing so. In the end, the atomic bomb was used to end World War II, but it also ushered in a new era of nuclear anxiety. Despite the dangers of nuclear energy, I believe that it also has the potential to be a force for good in the world. Nuclear power can provide clean and reliable energy, and nuclear medicine can be used to diagnose and treat diseases. I think that nuclear power should be used safely and responsibly and that efforts should be made to ensure that it does not fall into the wrong hands. I hope that you will not regret signing the letter to Roosevelt, or feel any guilt or remorse for doing so. You have acted in good faith and with noble intentions. You have done what you thought was best for humanity and for civilization. You have not betrayed your principles or your ideals. You have simply tried to protect them from a grave danger.

Many theories you predicted are proved in the Earth in my spacetime. Although your opinions on the quantum mechanics are accepted as false, your predictions are having a large influence on our life so much that even you can't predict. Mass-energy equivalence is also applied in multiple ways. The story about your regret for nuclear weapons is well known. But, I want to say you that you don't need to regret.

Dear Albert Einstein,

I've appreciated for hard work and research that you did on uranium so far, and I thought that your results are gonna be really outstanding. Yeah, you first expected that your research would lead to setting up a nuclear chain reaction in a vast amount of uranium as you mentioned on your letter, which was the great thing that you and everyone might have anticipated. But you seemed to be a little bit shocked and concerned by hearing the results that new phenomenon you made can also lead to the construction of nuclear hydrogen bombs, which could cause a massive damage to our mankind in the future...

Today, as you expected, many of the nuclear bombs such as Castle Bravo(USA), Tsar Bomba(Russia, primarily USSR) were declassified, developed and tested, so as a result, too much money was investigated to just a single research for nuclear bombs. But not only the drawbacks exist, but also the merits exist. Studies that you conducted did bring an innovation to our present day and to many technologies, and it led to the convenience to society at large. So don't regret about your research for uranium, because many people today are making effort for not using nuclear bombs to ensure the world's welfare and peace. I hope my letter to do some kind of relief to you, so don't make any worries and concerns about it. I'm so proud of you being as the one of the world's the best scientists ever.

Yours truly,

- One of the casual high students -

I respect Mr. Einstein,

I am deeply interested in nuclear issues. I would like to make some comments about how research on nuclear energy and nuclear power will affect our future.

The use of nuclear energy not only gives us ultimate power, but also presents the potential to meet our energy needs as a huge source of energy. However, the use of nuclear energy also carries great responsibilities and risks. There are various issues such as nuclear power plant safety, radioactive waste management, and nuclear weapons proliferation prevention.

Leaders in the United States and around the world must seek a balanced approach to nuclear energy and nuclear weapons. Solid regulations and safety protocols are important in defining the ways in which we can enjoy the benefits of nuclear energy. It is also necessary to control the proliferation of nuclear weapons and increase world security by agreeing to the international Nuclear Weapons Restriction Treaty.

Nuclear energy and nuclear weapons will remain one of the issues of the future. Thanks to your quick and excellent choice, humanity was able to overcome the horrors of war and could dream of a better future. It is horrible to think about Germany making the atomic bomb first and dropping it on the Allies. But was it a good idea, even for the United States, to create this weapon of mass destruction? I know you hoped the weapon would never be used. However, it eventually fell on two cities, causing numerous casualties. I feel solemn when I think about the guilt you must have felt afterwards, but I personally think it was something that should have happend.

Dear Albert Einstein

I think it's really great that you were able to create a nuclear chain reaction in a huge amount of uranium. I also think that thanks to the use of this to build powerful weapons, we were able to end the war that puts the world in pain. Without you, the world would have continued to wage war, and in the end, the ending would have been more serious ruin. Nuclear weapons are really dangerous, and they're very scary weapons that can lead to destruction in just a few seconds, but ironically because they're such a scary weapon, they keep the peace. For that reason, I think positively about the development of nuclear weapons. Also, thank you for your hard work.

sincerely,

one of the students

Dear Albert Einstein

I saw the letter you sent to President Roosevelt. Thanks to your quick delivery of information, America's development of the atomic bomb was carried out smoothly, ultimately ending World War II. In fact, Germany had the technology to develop an atomic bomb, but they did not have the energy to focus on it.

When they unlocked the secret of nuclear fission, their situation of war had already worsened greatly. However, the United States did not know this fact and began developing the atomic bomb in order to have the king of bombs before Germany. Instead of Germany, which had surrendered, the United States decided to drop bombs on Japan, which was still maintaining its offensive and defensive stance. The impact of the bomb did not simply end with damaging Japanese troops. Everything in the city where the bomb was dropped was destroyed. Einstein, as you expected, the bomb's power is quite threatening.

With just two bombs dropped, a terrible war that lasted six years ended.

I think the science and technology at the time was quite advanced. You have had a great influence on the history of science and human history. I think the impact is a beneficial one.

The nuclear bomb is a weapon that can win all wars with its mere existence, and is a brake that suppresses all wars.

I will say that your letter was the reason we ended the war, minimized future conflicts, and made great advances in human technology.

Sincerely

Dear Dr.Einstein

As you have recognized the fact that Nazi could make a new kind of bomb that is activated by the nuclear chain reaction, the chances that there is a new world with historical change are much more higher than last 20 years from the end of World War I. You suggested that US should get a nuclear bomb and you believe you could prevent the sacrifice of people by the bomb. However, it won’t work like that.

Over last 70 years, there has been the idea that nuclear weaponry could prevent every war. However, as it is so destructive, the leaders and generals couldn’t use it. Why? It’s simple. If I destroy one area, then there must be destructive assault on my land. For this reason, a nuclear bomb isn’t a proper answer. Instead, we fight each other by other weaponry. Maybe sometimes, a nuclear bomb has prevented a war but it is just a small portion of our life.

I know you expected that it prevents all the war that could happen, but it is just a your daydream. So, what I really want to tell you is that ‘a nuclear bomb Can not be a answer for the situation.’

-Dear Einstein

In your letter, you insist on developing a bomb using a chain reaction of uranium. Of course, from the standpoint of the state, I think nuclear bombs may be necessary to protect the safety of the people and respond to other countries. But in the end, if a war breaks out, the damage will be entirely done to the innocent people. It can also be a big environmental problem. If radioactivity is leaked, animals other than humans will also be affected. And along the food chain, another animal will eat the animals exposed to radiation, which will completely destroy the ecological structure. Therefore, I think we should prevent the production of bombs using uranium chain reactions globally through peace agreements with other countries rather than developing and testing nuclear bombs. Then one day, it will be possible for both humans and animals to live in a peaceful environment.

Hi, Dr. Albert Einstein. I am a high school student currently living in Korea. Our country is always exposed to the threat of nuclear weapons from our enemies. Our military power is stronger than our enemies, but the fact that our enemies have nuclear weapons makes it meaningless. This is the reality of the international community right now. By acquiring very powerful weapons, the prevention of war and conflict is constantly taking place. Is this true peace? Without nuclear weapons, our country could be at war now. Maybe the whole world will do that. This does not mean a good situation. Paradoxically, we have a terrible peace. But as soon as these precarious peace collapses, the world will once again enter a path of destruction. That's what you're concerned about. "Now I am here for death, the destroyer of the world," said your friend Oppenheimer. He said he felt disillusionment, fear and guilt in a world full of abject cruelty and heartbreak. I hope there will never be a day when I dye Dr. Oppenheimer's science with blood again

Dear Dr. Albert Einstein,

As a physicist living in the 21st century, I extend my deepest respect for your historic achievements. Your General Theory of Relativity and the mass-energy equivalence principle fundamentally changed our understanding of the universe and our world. These theories are not only milestones in physics but also in the intellectual evolution of humanity.

However, I wish to express a differing perspective on your views regarding quantum mechanics. Your famous statement, "God does not play dice," highlights your dissatisfaction with the uncertainty and probabilistic interpretations of quantum mechanics. In contrast, I find myself more aligned with the views of Niels Bohr.

Bohr emphasized the principles of uncertainty and complementarity in quantum mechanics. These principles suggest that natural phenomena can manifest differently depending on observation, reflecting the fundamental nature of the universe. This aspect of quantum mechanics provides a new understanding beyond the deterministic worldview.

Despite our differing views on quantum mechanics, I hold immense respect and gratitude for your contributions. Your achievements transcend time, and even with your views on quantum mechanics, they remain invaluable. I believe that the uncertainty and probabilistic interpretations of quantum mechanics are essential for our understanding of the universe, offering a deeper insight into the nature of reality.

With respect for your intellectual legacy and a differing perspective on the essence of quantum mechanics, I look forward to a deeper discussion on this matter.

Sincerely,

Doyoung Kim

It was a pity to see that you regretted that your consent had facilitated the development of nuclear weapons.

Of course, the development of nuclear weapons has caused a lot of casualties and had a ripple effect on the war, but I think you're amazing. If you look at it from a different perspective, there will be countries that remain at peace in fear of using nuclear weapons because of your development. And the courage of the anti-nuclear movement, not just my own regret, was cool.

I think we can understand with the times that there is a big downside to nuclear weapons that cause a lot of casualties, but that the only thing that can stop Germany at that time is another nuclear weapon
