Rock ‘N Learn is a youtube channel that has many fun educational videos for kids. They have a whole section on science and one in particular on the basics of Physical Science. The video goes over lab safety, the scientific method, atoms, molecules, electricity, magnetism, motion, energy, states of matter, and more. The video provides clear explanations and humor making this video perfect for the classroom and home. Also, the video was created along with teachers to meet state test standards. It goes over a lot of basic vocabulary and briefly explains many topics that are the basis of life science. It would be a good introduction video for a class about learning about life science or a good review video before an assessment. Link

Science A-Z is a website that offers resources for teaching life science from kindergarten to 6th grade. This is a great website for teachers when constructing their unit for teaching physical science because the resources include books, unit plans, lesson plans, videos, printables, games, activities, worksheets, and so much more. You just click on life science, find the grade you teaching and click on the life science topic you are about to teach and it gives a ridiculous amount of resources. Link

Khan Academy has a great video called “Introduction to Physics”. It talks about the basics of physical science and many topics that could be later expanded on in the classroom. Khan Academy does a great job at visualizing things for students and really breaking things down. This would be a great video for elementary or middle school students before they start a lesson on physical science. Link

“Forces: Physical Science for Kids” by Andi Dhein is a picture book about a character named Harry who explores gravity, magnetism, push-pull forces, and friction in everyday contexts. This book is a fun read and a good introduction to physical science for lower-level elementary school students. Its illustrations make it a great book for a read-aloud. This book would also be beneficial for a teacher to purchase and put in their classroom libraries. This book can be purchased on Amazon. Link
