A Gif (GIF – Graphic Interchange Format) file is a still image that MOVES a bit – not a full on animation. So you will need to think of what would make an effective Gif from what you will be shooting. Gif could also be a single image that is manipulated in Photoshop by removing things or changing colours etc. and then turned into an animation. For example, you could take a landscape image of a skyline and change the colours of the sky in different layers. Or you could try to have a series of images of a subject performing an action.

This is my "creative" GIF the I've done. It was easy to do. All I needed to do was to take the pictures that I wanted to be in the GIF. Opened in Photoshop and then we make frames from layers, we put the time and the seconds that we want our pictures to be. For save this GIF we need to "Export it" for the Web.

12 PRINCIPALS OF ANIMATION:

1: Squash and Stretch:
The most important principle is "squash and stretch" the purpose of which is to give a sense of weight and flexibility to drawn objects.
2: Anticipation:
Anticipation is used to prepare the audience for an action, and to make the action appear more realistic.
3: Staging:
This principle is akin to staging in theatre, as it is known in theatre and film.
4: Straight Ahead Action and Pose to Pose:
These are two different approaches to the actual drawing process. "Straight ahead action" scenes are animated frame by frame from beginning to end, while "pose to pose" involves starting with drawing a few key frames, and then filling in the intervals later.
5: Follow Through and Overlapping Action:
Follow through and overlapping action is a general heading for two closely related techniques which help to render movement more realistically, and help to give the impression that characters follow the laws of physics, including the principle of inertia.
6: Slow In and Slow Out:
The movement of the human body, and most other objects, needs time to accelerate and slow down.
7: Arc: Most natural action tends to follow an arched trajectory, and animation should adhere to this principle by following implied "arcs" for greater realism.
8: Secondary Action: Adding secondary actions to the main action gives a scene more life, and can help to support the main action.
9: Timing: Timing refers to the number of drawings or frames for a given action, which translates to the speed of the action on film.
10: Exaggeration: Exaggeration is an effect especially useful for animation, as animated motions that strive for a perfect imitation of reality can look static and dull.
11: Solid drawing:
The principle of solid drawing means taking into account forms in three-dimensional space, or giving them volume and weight.
12: Appeal: Appeal in a cartoon character corresponds to what would be called charisma in an actor.

MY FRAME ANIMATION:
In this photo frame animation I learnt that we can make short funny films that they can finish being very interesting. As you can see this is no the most beautiful one, this one was my first attempt but I know with more practice It would be better and better. In stop frame animation we can use anything to cause more impact and make it more interesting. We can use toys, drawings, objects, etc. the point is t make it better every single time.
I made this stop frame animation with my own iPhone using the same app in the iMac (iMovie). I took a lot of photos wit my phone and then I upload them into the iMovie to start making the stop frame animation. Every ingle photo has a time of 0,4 seconds. We can make our stop frame animation slower or faster depending by the seconds we use in each individual picture.
