My students created the pictures of our short story. We combined them into a book for our library.

Using small sticks we created the ladder. We added the childrens picture.

We observed that the Moon does not move far away. It stays close to the Earth and follows it.

Next, we played a group game. We were divided into groups of three. One child was the Earth, one was the Moon, and one was the observer.

The Earth stood still and held a ball. The Moon held a smaller ball and walked in a circle around the Earth. It did not run and did not move away. The observer described what he/she saw.

In this way, we learned what a satellite is and that a satellite moves around a planet and does not leave it. We explained in simple words that the Moon is the Earth’s satellite and its closest friend.

The children were able to clearly visualize that, while one side of the "Earth" was illuminated and full of life (day), the opposite side remained in shadow (night).

More than just watching, they handled the model. They rotated the Earth, perceiving the "birth" of the sun and the arrival of the moon, transforming an abstract concept into something tangible.

After the sensory experience, the children were invited to systematize their knowledge through artistic expression. At this moment, they represented day and night.

 This helped us understand how to stay safe while doing experiments.

 As soon as the vinegar touched the moon rocks, they started to fizz and bubble. The reaction created a foamy effect that made the rocks look like they were active or “erupting.”

After that, we created our own solar system using drawing and collage. This helped us remember the planets and understand their place in space. We also made ourselves travelling in a rocket.

We also created our own tickets for a trip to the Moon.
