Samsun is one of the most important cities in Turkey, because Atatürk started the Indepence War from this city in 1919. Çarşamba is a big town in Samsun settled in a plain famous for one of the longest river 'Yeşilırmak' in Turkey . And Ağcagüney is a small village in Çarşamba. Well it's a small secondary lower school in a small town halfway between Naples (in Campania, Italy) and Caserta. There are only 15 classes and students are from 11 to 14 years old. It is not well equipped as there are digital boards only in some classes and there is not wifi internet connection. Neverthless there are some labs (Science, ICT, Music) and a big gym. But my students and their parents are really great in managing such a condition! In fact BYOD and smartphones are largely used even when an etwinning project has to be carried out. We use smartphone to stay in contact on digital classrooms (Weschool and Edmodo) and digital media. They really learn by doing and enjoy very much even if it's a hard work!
